"Service is very off. Cutlery shoved down on the corner of the table Haven’t seen that before. Very strange. Coffee cold and weak My friend and I ordered two different salads. Cafe quiet. Asked after 25 mins about the status of our meals. They appeared...straight away. Yep they forgot again. Same scenario as last year. Can’t believe this place is still in business. My friends salad was a pile of rocket with a scattering of mayo with a tiny bit of smoked salmon. Crap in other words. I had the most boring Caesar salad ever. Fridge temperature poached egg with uncooked anchovies, wilted lettuce, crap mayo, half cooked bacon and spot the Parmesan cheese. Overpriced awful and terrible service. Never again."

"This run of the mill food court type outlet opposite Woolworths in the Majura Shopping Centre is nothing special. I attended around 4pm on a weekday and was served quickly and cheerfully. There's plenty of seating and my drink was brought to the table which was good service.I ordered the "Frank" hot dog and was charged 10.50, didn't take too long to prepare but I had to collect it from the counter. They were a little sparse on some ingredients (such as quacomale) and the bun had a warm yet soggy microwaved feel to it. To be honest I was underwhelmed for the price but I realise it's a private shopping centre so rents probably affect the price / quality - I find most food outlets here are pretty ordinary and expensive. If you're looking for the best hot dog in Canberra this definitely isn't it. Similar fare to a Donut King. Broddogs is much nicer, fresher and about the same cost. Wouldn't return in a hurry."

"Set in a small strip mall in a residential area in his location has potential. Sadly the food does not which makes me question previous reviews. I have had Indian food from Sri Lanka to London and this place was not what it should be. I had lamb and my friend the goat. Both were lacking in flavor and quality. Will not be back. Ever."

"BRILLIANT. Thanks Damien for providing an incredible surprise for my wife's surprise 60th. The night went off without a hitch. The food was extraordinary and the service was excellent.Your staff must be commended as they could not do enough for our many guests. Comments from our interstate visitors the next day were many and very complimentary. What an incredible setting for hold a function. Thanks."

"Being one of the pricier restaurants I was expecting a lot, and the Boat House delivered. Service was great, food was very impressive and the restaurant itself has a classic ambience and setting. One thing this restaurant does very well is not cram diners next...to each other. The dishes were inventive, well presented and tasted perfectly."
