"After reading about this restaurant/ beach club in a local magazine, my husband and I thought we'd give it a try. As a beach club it's okay, nothing special but for lunch we had tapas and it was fantastic......we had all fish dishes which were so fresh and tasty we ended up ordering the same three dishes twice. Staff were friendly and helpful, my only reservation is that price wise this worked out quite an expensive meal for a lunch on the beach"

"A balmy summer evening with the sun setting over the lagoon and the mighty Canigou in the background. A wonderfully quirky beach hut restaurant with delightful decor on decking. We had booked as our friends knew that it would most likely be full on a Friday night.There was an interesting selection of local wines (for example a lovely 100% Maccabeu white and a light and eminently drinkable red called Le Grill), and a decent house wine. Prices were very reasonable for the area.The menu is presented on a large chalkboard with a selection of dishes that could be ordered in small or large portions, (a very good idea for those with small/large appetites or a penchant for sharing) plus typical tapas dishes and daily specials. For starters we had grilled sardines (fresh and tasty), chicken satay (delicious), and seared tuna (lovely). Main courses were Brazilian-style sea bass which was nicely-cooked and served with tangy, crunchy sides, a change from rice and a slice of lemon and a mixed hot sea-food platter (salt-cod, prawns, mussels, cockels). which was deemed alright".The staff were friendly and helpful but didn't quite hit that fine balance between being brisk and efficient but not rushing you. We managed to spend €40 per head by having more than two bottles of wine and not choosing the cheapest dishes on offer. But if we had wanted to we could have had a pleasant meal for less than half that. All in all, a lovely place to have a meal (if the weather is good: on a windy day I doubt I would enjoy it), the food is more than adequate and we would go again."

"It was surprisingly best restaurant in the area. Everything was perfect: food, place, personal. It is magic, when you can order your breakfast or dinner and have a great time with yachts view! : Here you can get any food you like: pizza, sea food, pasta, meat! Very delicious, fresh and tasty! People, clients are the most important for the restaurant stuff, and be sure they will do the best for you to enjoy staying at this place! : You WILL have a wish to come back again and again. My special thanks to Andre, the restaurant owner, who welcome us everyday!!! This brilliant person helped us with the information about France not just delicious food! : If you get to this restaurant, you may call yourself a lucky person! : Enjoy your meal! Bon Appetit!"

"We were a bit lost in Leucate one night and we bumped into Chez Marie.A very cozy place right on the main place in Leucate.We didn´t expect much it was already late. But the owners were really nice and the food was really high quality french food. Freshly cooked as we order.The owner a very peculiar guy, ex-militar is making the atmospher really interresting. The prices are low for the quality. So I recomend it. you won´t be deceived."
