"Market manages to be both warm and lively. The menu is inventive and every bite incredible. Not a big vegetable lover, I politely tasted the carrot soup the owner offered. It was love at first bite. I devoured the little bowl, and immediately ordered the biggest bowl offered. Every item I tasted produced the same reaction...how can food taste so glorious? The owner credited the excellence of the food to selecting only the most excellent local produce. Whatever he's doing, it's perfect."

"Wonderful charming little restaurant serving both savoury and sweet crepes.Fantastic choice of crepes on the menu, had problems deciding which one to choose, which is very strange for a vegetarian. Ended up with the ratatouille for savoury and finished off with the frangipane for dessert. Both were absolutely delicious.Excellent value too!"

"I was in Lille for 2 nights for a conference and this bistro was around the corner from my hotel. Ate here both nights, and took advantage of the 5-7pm nightly happy hour. Great food, helpful staff (polite and patient with us despite our awful attempts to speak the language).Had the burger on day 1 (cooked medium perfectly - not underdone as can be the case in France) and a rump steak on day 2. Both delicious dishes delivered speedily to the table.I highly recommend the dessert board (check out my pics). As an indication of value - between us, we had a bottle of wine plus two shorts, along with two steaks and two desserts. Bill came to €65. Really good value in my opinion. Merci beaucoup!"

"I had the chance to go twice in the same day. Once for breakfast and the second time for dinner. In the morning, we had a sesame bagel with speculoos spread, an apricot almond muffin and two sorts of tea. Both the bagel and the muffin were really good and the tea was from a renown brand. In the evening, I had the salmon one in a cereal bagel, my friend had the one for the month, which was supposedly in a cheddar bagel but as they were out opted for the cereal one, and was filled with a mimosa egg, smoked turkey, lettuce, tomatoes and a smoked mayonnaise, and her friend chose the made-to-taste one. All were really good. My friend also got the nutella-nut muffin. I had a bite and found it just a little bit dry and didn't like the taste of the Nutella in it. Overall a good experience and something quick to eat but also filling. But slightly expensive for what it is (although I think the ingredients are better than what you can eat at fast foods) Not the first spot I'd choose for a quick meal"
