"Don't come to Lorne without visiting Ipsos, an amazing Greek restaurant. My wife & I were blown away by the food, atmosphere & service. We ordered the slow cooked lamb, served with mixed greens and an almond/hummus sauce. Truly amazing; savoured every bite. This restaurant was a highlight of a great holiday exploring Lorne and the great ocean road."

"An incredible evening of cocktails, followed by dinner. Steak cooked to perfection. Potentially the best service we have ever received in Australia by a very attentive and friendly waiter with a slight American accent. Would definitely return on our next visit to Lorne."

"During a trip along the Great Ocean Road we stopped for lunch at Lorne Central and ordered the catch of the day $35). Catch of the day was barramundi. Fish was perfectly cooked crispy skin and not overcooked meat. Sides of potatoes and tomatoes, creamy spinach wrapped in filo were really tasty. Waited for about 30 mins for the food to be served but was worth the wait."

"I like chilli so there is nothing more disappointing than seeing a pie advertised as being spicy but not delivering. The Volcano Pie certainly delivers. While the pies appear to have gone back to the low profile version again the filling was tasty and certainly didn't lack chilli. The pastry was good too. On the following day I had a tasty ham salad roll because it was bigger than the pies. Always busy make sure you arrive early if you want a specific flavour."

"Friendly atmosphere, good prices and reasonable food make this a good option for a family meal. There is always a curry and a good soup on the menu. Sometimes they run out of items so get ready for your second choice. They have barefoot bowling and sometimes live music at this venue. Definitely an okay option in Lorne."

"We booked to have our wedding anniversary dinner at this restaurant whilst staying at another hotel. Unbeknownst to me, my husband contacted the restaurant and organised several surprises. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They decorated the table and even created a special dessert for us. Our three-month old baby was a little unsettled that evening, but everyone was really nice about it. The food was absolutely delicious and extremely well presented. My salmon gravlax arrived "in a puff of smoke" :-). The Chef created a surprise dessert for us, which was a work of art on a huge silver platter. A wonderful ending to a fabulous evening!"
