"Thankfully on a budget I can eat as much as I like being a Senior Citizen with fresh food made daily or when ever they need to make more. Friendly helpful staff and plenty of places to sit or takeaway."

"This little Motor Inn restaurant outdated as the design is, was warm and welcoming. The meal was delicious ham and turkey with gravy and hasselback potato and other veg, served as a stack well presented. Dessert was individual serve of merangue with cream...and fruit. Drinks at bar prices were standard. No problem with hangers on looking at memorabilia and talking. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had approx 32 ppl. $30 p/h."

"First time in Sale so the kids and I walked the main drag up and back looking for a place for lunch. Was surprised at the lack of options (I think there was a lot more food a few streets over) so ended up at this place because we were sick of walking by that stage.Kids wanted hamburgers and I ended up with the pie and chop special (with Gravy). $10 for mine and $12 each for the burgers.Everything was juts a little ' blah' nothing had any zing to it and the chips were pretty average. The inside seating was really cramped - there was some outside seating but it had been drizzling and all the seats were wet.Friendly service was nice. They seemed pretty busy."

"Wanted a nice pie for lunch, was dissapointed in what we got. Understand this is a personal taste review but neither of us enjoyed our meal terribly and one of us was crook later in the day (hadn't eaten anything since lunch so is a...fair assumption her Lamb pie was not healthy (she remarked it didnt taste great at the time). My Vanilla slice (normally a great fan of these) was so so but not great. Not suggesting you avoid this place, I am sure some of their other goods were ok, just our experience was not so hot, so to speak."

"The best place to eat in Sale, hands down! The number one spot in Sale is definitely Oneills!<br/ <br/ This place really nails all 4 big critique categories; food, service, atmosphere and decor. <br/ <br/ The venue is a converted house, with the kitchen as the counter and re open lounges as a dinning area. This adds to the warmth and coziness of the environment. The table layout, modern home style decor and lighting really add an extra layer to the element of a relaxing but still upmarket venue. <br/ <br/ The service here is outstanding, all waitstaff are friendly and attentive but special mention must be made to the man of the house Kurt, who is a fantastic host and Allison a lovely waitress who is always super friendly and talkative : <br/ <br/ The food is out of this world, with some of the best chef inspired flavour, texture and presentation combinations for unique masterchef-esque dishes! A big shout out goes to the chefs who create these amazingly prepared and presented dishes with creativity and skill. This place would hold its own against some of the top restaurants in Melbourne. The main menu is often changed and signature dishes are modified so there is always something fresh and new to try. Portion size of the meals are not huge but they're also not tiny either, but well balanced for multi course options but still filling enough to have a stand alone main. <br/ <br/ After having tried many of the dishes here, my favourites include:<br/ For entree, you can not go past the pepper crusted veal loin, this is the best entree available, cooked amazingly tender and moist, with the perfect amount of flavouring, this dish offers great taste and texture for your palette. Other nice entrees include the scallops and the spanner crab. The shared platter is also a nice to share between two but would be better with tasters from the main entrees. I would not recommend the bruschetta as it is more like an open tomato, ham and cheese sandwich and is not an ideal entree. <br/ For mains, I highly recommend the Gippsland eye fillet, this is such a different but awesome take on a classic steak dish, cooked perfectly and placed on top of a potato gratin and with a red wine jus, it's exquisite. <br/ I also really enjoyed the Cape Otway pork belly with its perfectly cooked crispy skin, the smoked lamb rack which had such a strong authentic smoky taste and the chicken breast which was cooked succulently and again was flavoured to perfection. I was not a big fan of the Berkshire pork belly as the flavours seemed to clash with the sides and was not as good as the first pork dish I tried.<br/ <br/ The desserts here are always something special to save room for, they do amazing flavoured cheesecake variations, my favourite two would have to be the coffee and the Mars bar inspired cheesecakes. The shared dessert platter is perfect for two as it gives you a taste of the main dessert options and allows you to try a bit of everything.<br/ <br/ This place is definitely an upmarket venue, with a premium price to match however it is definitely worth every cent with its high quality food and high level of service, this is truly a great dining experience for any foodie!"
