"India is a land of rich heritage and culture and hospitality is a part of our everyday lives. I took a bunch of friends to uddo life for sun downer. We all ordered drinks and one of my friends wanted a glass of warm water....The manager refused to give a glass of water. I went and requested twice . Once he said kettle is not working and second time just listened to my request and stood there talking to another guest. Did not even bother to go to kitchen and get us a glass of warm water. Where in the world does any restaurant refuse a glass of warm water. The attitude /arrogance of the manager was beyond my comprehension since I also come from hospitality background. Would like to add that we are all regular visitors to uddo life. Hope the management does something as this kind of attitude and behaviour is definitely not acceptable. U cannot refuse a glass of warm water to a client ............"

"We were told this cafe had 'the best samosas in Goa', we had stopped to visit Ganapati Mandir (Ganesh Temple) and Atharv Cafe is opposite the car park, so we decided we had to pop in to see if the claim was correct.Rohan, the owner, welcomed us to the small cafe where we had lunch of a variety of pastries, cakes with cold drinks and masala chai. Not forgetting the delicious samosas, Truly delicious and certainly living up to what we had been told! The cafe is a very small local Goan establishment where if you are looking for somewhere to eat that is different from the tourist trap restaurants, where they serve authentic Goan food, it is defintely a place to visit. We visited a second time and tried more samosas, stuffed battered chillis and bought some extra to take away and share with some friends. I asked what the special advertised on the wall was (not understanding Hindi) and was told it was Oyster Xacuti and was offered a sample to try. Delicious! On receiving the bill we were not sure if we had been charged correctly as the price was so good. When we told some Goan friends back in Calangute they knew of Atharv and said it was the best in Siolim and the best priced.Definitely worth a visit."
