"Went out to Sala Thai for Father's Day dinner as Thai is my favourite food. I eat all over Australia and NZ regularly. I am not a fussy eater and rarely complain about food or service. On arrival at the restaurant I was expecting a full restaurant and a busy night. Restaurant was probably 30% full. First warning sign. Ordered 9 meals tonight with most of us sharing each other's food and therefore the comments are a group consensus rather than an individual view. We agreed the spring rolls, chicken pandan & chicken satay entree's were nice albeit the chicken satay sticks were a bit over cooked. Pad Thai main was tasty but very oily as was the fried rice. Cashew chicken was barely edible as the meat was dry and tough and the taste of the dish was terrible and smelt funny. Masseman curry was served luke warm, beef was tough and dry and the meat lacked flavour. Didn't appear to be slow cooked where meat should fall apart and have good flavour. Steamed rice was...

"Every Friday my friend and I drop in for coffee and I love the fact that the girl behind the counter remembers our order and welcomes us with her cheery smile. I have been visiting this place for well over 20 years and still enjoy it. They have a lovely potbelly stove in the corner for those chilly Stirling days as well as outside setting which is great for people and their dogs. The décor is slightly out of date but who cares when you are getting great service and good food."

"What a pitty we have been coming here for a long time as don't live far but today was the last time as I think it's on a down hill slide my burger was good but my husbands pasta ragu was $28 for a small bowl no bread and was not a ragu as it was tough and dry , expensive for what it was , waited for waitress to ask for coffee and dessert but no one came near us .I would of thought after ordering a $40 bottle of wine the least they could do would be polite and ask if there was anything else and HOW was yr meals but nooooo Lazy staff all the good ones have left , we got coffee at Stirling hotel and that's where we will be eating from now on / your loss miss Perez ."
