"With the overall experienced being a mixed one, we wanted to come to the roof top Steinterasse post lunch (15:00) We were welcomes by a big sign in the middle of the hotel lobby entrance that read: Terasse is currently closed. We were pointed outwards of the hotel and politely asked to leave. After doing a little research, we were saddened to find out that this was done to manage the streams and stop masses of people coming up and the terrace wasn't really closed...This is one way to do it, but there are surely better ways to welcome guests and potential regulars to your venue. This was a disgusting practice in my eyes and would hope that top establishments have better management skills that this. I was robbed of my time and efforts as I called around trying to find out what was going on. After finally being (allowed up), we sat outside and welcomed by an eccentric yet nice and helpful waiter. He made sure that everything was to our expectation. The food rather quick, but for the prices I feel that the chef could of put a little more attention to detail. The menu wasn't extravagant and apart from a cesura salad, burger and other 'pub styled' dishes, there was nothing to be found. The view is spectacular however, and coming for a sunset with a view over the city, Salzach and Alps in the background was truly breathtaking. Once the sun was gone however, and it got cold, very cold. The waiter kindly informed us that the Infrared heaters are not working due to a 'broken fuse'. We were forced to move inside, again due to lack of management.I awarded this venue a 5 star, but only because of the fantastic view. Welcoming, prices and lack to repair the infrared heater, 3*."
