"Such a hard choice when you are in Chinatown at lunch time! Oh my! And since my absolute favourite place is closed for renovations at the moment, makes it even harder!<br>

Eventually foodie radar headed me in the direction of Star Dumplings.<br>

Ordered steamed spring onion chicken, great flavours, unfortunately the chicken had bits of gristle through it, so made me gristle aware! Don’t like bits in my chicken!<br>

Also, had the chicken and prawn fried dumplings, huge serve! And cheap! Flavours pretty good, not great though and for me the dumpling skin was a little thick.<br>

Good serves here, so good, in fact, that I took the majority home for late snacking! <br>

Overall, pretty good inexpensive food, exactly what is expected of Chinatown!"

"Came here today as I was craving for some good Korean food and overall, I found the food to be okay. The dishes needed a lot more seasoning but I suppose the flavours of the veggies made up for it. Probably should have tried other dishes but for what the food is valued, I think it's worth a shot coming here if you feel like Korean food. The place was pretty quiet at around 1pm today when I came with only two other tables filled, but the man who I presume was the owner was extremely friendly.My summarised critique:- Reasonably priced dishes- Portion size is generous- Food does lack a bit of salt but the sweetness of the bulgogi and vegetables made up for the hot pot, and the soy sauce dip added a nice saltiness that wasn't too overpowering with the pancake- Bulgogi Hot Pot (Medium - $34) (suitable for 2 people)- Seafood and Green Onion Pancake ($10)"

"So after the horrible experience at Jamie's Kitchen, today was my day to visit the Kingdom Chinese Restaurant in Adelaide. And what a contrast. Amazing customer service, perfect food and what amazing quality. The staff were so courteous, soft spoken and very friendly. Ordered salt...and pepper prawns and black pepper prawns with rice and what taste!!!! Highly recommendable to anyone who loves good Chinese food.... A must visit...."

"This was the only place open on Sunday on Hindley Street during Adelaide festival season. Still a bit alarmed at that! Anyway, while this place was a bit of a last resort, it was by no means a disappointing experience as our meal here was absolutely superb My mouth has started salivating at the memory of the rest of our meal. We had a wonderfully moreish chicken and pear cold noodle soup and yummy and flavoursome spicy baby octopus dish. Just don't fill up on the free pancake at the beginning it was the only thing we found a bit average So while this place may not look like much (especially when compared to its more trendy neighbours), it's definitely worth checking out!"
