"Was a little confused when we walked in because we didn’t know how to get seated. I think it was just assumed we were taking it to-go but I guess that was partly our fault. The service was good and friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was really good! We did not expect the sushi rolls to be as big as they were. They also tasted amazing. And the Japanese cheesecake was so fluffy and light, I probably would have eaten a whole cake myself if they sold it like that lol"

"This is a good example of a place I would visit more often. The prices are expensive.
Food has been good, 30 plus for 2 without drinks, expensive."

"Located in what used to be the Islington Police Station, this a large tavern. With dozens of TV’s it very popular with hockey, soccer and UFC fans. It tends to draw noisy and rough fans. Language tends to the vulgar. The menu is large and...very pub type. Beer is relative cheap and varied."

"My twins and I had brunch here on the weekend. We basically just "happened upon" the restaurant, and were very pleasantly surprised. The place is very clean and friendly and you can tell that it's popular. The food was outstanding, the best breakfast-type food I can remember having at any restaurant. Coffee was hot and fresh and service was quick. I had the smoked salmon platter - it came with a huge mound of beautiful smoked salmon, a hot toasted bagel, as well as cream cheese, sliced onions and capers on the side - and also a little cup of very fresh fruit. It was outstanding! The service blips did seem minor to us but I will mention them. We had to ask for knives and forks, remind the waitress about the requested glasses of water - and my son and daughter both requested "hold the capers" on their meals, but that didn't happen. These glitches aside - it was a wonderful meal and we will recommend the restaurant to friends - and will be back!!!"

"Okay let’s talk about this, TOO MUCH RICE AND ZERO FLAVOUR very disappointed and not worth the $60. So much better tasting sushi out there, the grocery store sushi tastes better than what I had the other day.Never again!"

"Usually when you read about a little neighbourhood gem in a newspaper food article you expect it to be wonderful. And reading many reviews about this place they are split between positive and negative and after my visit I go with NEGATIVE. The initial impressions...with the lack of parking in the lot and on the side streets until 5 p.m. are a serious deterrent but so is its CASH ONLY policy (who STILL does THAT???? . The interior (one reviewer says it 's recently renovated??? is basic tables and dreary decoration and lighting. And this was pretty much a precursor to the food. The lamp soup had been touted as its feature dish....well...dishwater perhaps. Basically boiled water with a few green onions and no discernible flavour to drown a impressive-looking lamb shank which had been boiled to death for three or four days before being served. The lamb skewers were reasonably priced and a good size on presentation......but the some of the meat was soft and palatable with a bit of flavour and spice but the other half was overcooked and grizzle. The Laghmam fresh hand-pulled noodle dish looked interesting and my dinner partner said the was lamb was good but to me, the noodles were too long and thick (like macaroni sized and slippery to hold any sauce. The texture was not familiar or pleasant for my taste. Serve yourself canned sodas and green teas, no glasses and write-your-own dinner requests on a pad just added to the sad atmosphere of this establishment. Obviously popular with the many young walk-in Asian clientele who become quite animated throughout their dinner, which made it difficult for us to chat, I am absolutely disappointing with this dining experience . I do not understand how this place has survived so long with this presentation."

"Really terrible location. It took us 20 min to get our coffees, and then another 20 min to get our food (after reminding them, as they clearly forgot the orders). In fact they brought one plate out then asked what the other one was and then brought that after a bit. The poached eggs on the Benny were more hard boiled than poached as the yolk didn't ooze or run. Our table didn't get any water until we asked them for some after our food came even though they brought our (empty) glasses for water when we sat down. Wouldn't ever return to or recommend this location"
