"This is the first review I've ever left that wasn't five stars. I don't have the heart not to tell the truth. This is also very long but important. If you're looking for a white person's interpretation of Thai, this is for you. Not even a single Thai decorative piece could be found. If you want authentic RUN don't walk in the opposite direction. Also the atmosphere was tense. Upon entry, a manager barked orders at the host to seat us. While the host was actively assisting another customer. The poor host looked dead inside. After seated it took a long time for us to be served so the host brought us waters. (What a hard worker) Our server shows up, was very kind, took our order and within a few minutes returned with our appetizer, which was a spicy tuna roll. What we saw and tasted was comparable to gas station quality. (It was Luke warm and you could tell by the markings was plopped out of a box too) When our dishes arrived, we could tell by looking and smelling that it wasn't going to taste right. For example: drunken noodles is naturally supposed to be pretty spicy with wide flat rice noodle. What we got? Linguini noddle and the dish was extremely sweet. Also some of the noodles were not cooked all the way through. Finally Want any protein with your meal? Chicken pork etc? Expect to be charged. Want rice? That's a charge too. The service of food was quick but the quality was just not there. The staff was friendly to us but not to each other and it showed. I'm sorry to leave such a negative review. I mulled over this for a long time. As I said though. I don't have the heart to not put it out there. There's potential, but after what we experienced it's going to take a lot of work."

"We have been to the restaurants all around Mulan, but had never been there. They have a BOOMING take out business. We were able to dine inside, with appropriate COVID measures. The food was, in a word, WOW!!!! Our waiter, Mark, was very well versed on the menu and extremely nice. The service was impeccable. When your Asian meal is cooked by Mr. Song you just know it?s gonna be good. His understanding of ingredients and how to layer them resulted in perfectly cooked shrimpand depth of flavors that reaching the sublime. Owner Matt Kan and GM Monica Patrick have developed a great atmosphere right at home in the bohemian Cooper-Young neighborhood of Memphis. Well worth a visit!!"
