"Its a restaurant plus hotel. We went on our first day stay and it was awfully quite at 7 pm. The restaurant is in the basement , there were couple of foreigners and locals. Nobody bothered to come and ask for order. Finally my husband went to kitchen and we were given menus. You have to have really good patience if you want to eat there. But you don't feel like complaining once to taste the food. We had chicken sizzler , pork chilly , masala chai not strong enough) and sheazuhan chicken. Everything was yum and value for money. But the area gets really quite and little scary after 8 pm."

"Pizzas and momos are simply out of the world. I have been there for every visit I have made to McLeod Gung/Dharamshala. The cook is supposedly the same cook for last more then 25 years. Sounds funny, but I feel they make better pizzas then what I have eaten at the best pizza places in Europe. Must try, else you would regret."

"Its a vegetarian restaurant but they serve dishes with eggs. If you are okay with this then its a must try. Preparation is really good here and all in my family liked it. And the location is really amazing and gives an amazing panoramic view if you choose to sit in the terrace area."

"This little restaurant was our favourite during the 3 weeks we spent in McLeod. Huge pots of tea, cheap but absolutely delicious food (our favourites were the special fried thenthuk, veg momos and the fried tofu in spinach and gravy - loads of veg packed into whichever dish you order!) and delightful, happy monks who make your day every time you walk through the door. There's no surprise this little place is always packed! Thank you so much, Shangrila! :)"
