"The Albero Verde/Grüner Baum is a so-called Dortmund “Edel” Italian in the city-famous Dortmund suburb Gartenstadt with high prices. High prices do not automatically mean very good kitchen, I once again noticed during my visit. Among a former owner, Jürgen Klopp had celebrated the title of the BVB, which was then called Piazza Navona. The current owner Edmond Myftari renamed it again as decades ago in “Green Tree/Albero Verde”. There are three parking spaces at the house. Otherwise you have to look in the direct surroundings. The underground station “Lübkestraße” is just a few meters away from the B1/A40. Ambience A wide staircase with large lateral columns leads to the building. On the left and right of the stairs directly on the strongly driven road are covered terraces with awnings and parasols, which convey a cosy atmosphere. The outer tables are mostly covered with white fabric tablecloths and white fabric napkins. Disadvantage: On the left you can hear the loud butterfly in the kitchen and on the right you can find the toilet in the cellar, whose sounds could also interfere with the terrace guests. The interior of the restaurant is conservatively elegant in beige-brown tones. The tables were partly covered with white fabric runners, white fabric napkins, water cups and cutlery at lunchtime. Service The table we want in the shade was covered by the serviceman husch husch somewhat liederly. He was alone in the service and ran back and forth as the owner made more honneurs and chatters than service with the guests known to him. This is a purely factual observation from me, as I basically do not go to a restaurant to be courted. The ordered drinks brought our serviceman quickly. He was a glass and plate carrier. He could or did not want to answer our questions about wine and food. He also did not understand my critical statement about the consistency of the mushrooms. Time shortage and/or linguistic problems? Anyway, that was nix! The fact that the main dishes came only after about 1 hour was probably more of the underoccupied kitchen. In any case, he forgot to serve my husband's daily dessert. Unfortunately, it only occurred to us when walking. The service gets 2 out of 5 stars. Menu 97 positions are too much for me. There can't be anything fresh. The order on the menu: Soups from 6 € Appetizers from 9 € Salads from 13 € Pasta from 15 € Fish from 19 € Meat from 18 € Risotto from 18 € Pizza from 8 € In addition, a lunch ticket was offered with slightly cheaper prices from 9-15 €. Only the three-course menu at €9.90 was cheaper at noon. But who has 1.5 hours for the break at lunchtime? Our selected dishes menu with “Antipasti freddi” before and after that “Doradenfilet mit Weißwein-Zitronensauce mit Petersilie-Kartoffeln” and the dissert The antipasti were cold and consisted of garden carrots, zucchini, eggplants, red paprika and fennel. A correct gear. Freshly prepared, but without tasteful sophistication. Three out of five stars. Two small dorade fillets fried on the skin were still juicy. The slim, ruby skin was not removed. Salt potatoes of the semi-solid variety were placed on a minimum sauce level. For the six halved potatoes, that was far too little sauce. Two out of five stars. My “Spaghetti with Champignons, Scampi and Cherrytomaten” at €10.90 were a big portion. Noodles al dente. Scampi were normal shrimps that were correctly glazed. The little tomatoes were halved. The fresh champignons: were probably fresh on the market days ago, on my plate they were fried unusually shrunk together and tough. I left her on the plate. The court tasted nothing except for oil. Ingredients such as slightly fried garlic and onion cubes or a hint of chili would have made miracles. Even salt was probably out. Two out of five stars. The dessert that is not served also leads to star removal. Conclusion More appearance than being! Edel? Low-priced lunch table may contain simple, inexpensive products so that the economy of gastronomy is true. But I cannot expect good preparation and services as a guest for the evening. Well-priced lunch table has often convinced me over the years, so I became a loyal guest in the evening. 2 – hardly again 1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise”"
