"Lunch here today with my daughter. I told her about the glory days of Roma in the eighties, when it was the way to stand for a hearty plate of pasta. I'm glad to see it again. We have selected both fish fruit options. Mie was the Marinara and her the mixed seafood plate. As usual, we first called ourselves !! The calamari and scallops on her plate (that I was) incredibly tender and delicious. My spaghetti Marinara was also very good with plenty of seafood in it. My only regret is that I did not ask for Chili (according to the menu)."

"Went here twice for brekky during our nearby stay in Freo. Fabulous service from attentive staff, who are quick to serve & to clean tables after customers have left, allowing for a quick change over of clientele. Had a cappuccino on both occasions, which was hot, light & frothy & without the bitterness often found when businesses just don't get it right. Spouse had his usual long, black & was thrilled with the strong flavour. Would suggest trying the banana porridge, which is a meal in itself. Huge bowl of creamy oats, served with brown sugar, hot milk & slices of banana. Also tried the raisin toast, which was thick & nicely toasted, but needed more than 1 sachet of butter to cover. Spouse had poached eggs on toast which were done to perfection, oozing nicely over the toast when cut. On the second visit, hubby had the muesli followed by poached eggs & salmon. All nicely presented & quickly delivered after ordering. A huge bowl of muesli with sliced banana, hot milk, honey & yoghurt. Looked yummy, but was described as being slightly too sweet for his tastes, but perhaps he overdid the honey or yoghurt over it. His eggs & salmon were again beautifully cooked & the salmon was nicely pink & tender. Great choices. Meanwhile, on this visit, I opted for the Eggs Benedict. Mmmmmm, nice runny egg, atop a toasted muffin & covered with lashings of tangy hollandaise sauce. Perfection! This place is frequented by the local Italian population & I reckon they know a thing or 2 about good food, good coffee & good service. Prices are reasonable for the offerings. Definitely worth a visit."

"Was really good. As others have said you are offered a soup entree complimentary. We had cotoletta dishes & all were nice and thin and not chewy. A side of spaghetti bolognese was great too. A small authentically Fremantle ristorante which hasn't changed much since opening."

"Been around trying fish and chips and was hoping for a wow here. The only wow was the size of the meal but the actual taste was nothing to be wow about.<br> <br> The batter of the fish was tasteless and was pretty soggy. Get like the batter was not cooked long enough or cooked cold and so therefore was soggy. The fish was easily detached from the batter which most likely meant it was only dipped and fried cold too. The calamari were alright but stingy.<br> <br> A bit below average for me but I've got to be fair to even take away fish and chips which are better, and cheaper..."

"So, oft times the term vanilla is used to imply a bland or unexciting thing, and on first glance, this border land establishment between South Freo and its non-geographically pigeon holed neighbour, is a little standard in terms of decor and offerings...<br> <br> But as with books and covers, such things do not tell the whole story. <br> <br> It's first redeeming quality is that it opens at six...so if you're commuting anywhere early this is a significant win. <br> <br> Second of all, it does the fundamental basics well. Good customer service (very good in fact) and good coffee. <br> <br> Trapped in the border lands it does feel it can charge a bit more for its brew, so bring a little bit more shrapnel with you for your fix, but that's ok....it's a solid coffee at still an acceptable price. <br> <br> I have never eaten here, but the standard cafe fare on offer always looks fresh and well made. So wouldn't say no if someone organised brunch here, but possibly would venture somewhere a little more... <a class="read-more" href="#">read more</a>"

"Good Old Culleys - its a Fremantle institution. I was a bit taken aback when they had renovations done and increased all their prices but I suppose they were living in the 90s...Now I have adjusted... They have delicious spinach ricotta rolls and sausage rolls are the highest quality you can find. In fact, after Culleys you wont want to go anywhere else for these classics."

"Visited Kazoomi's for brunch yesterday after reading good online reviews. We were not disappointed. My husband and I are both middle eastern food fans, and often cook ME food at home. Nimrod the owner and chef serves up his dishes with an interesting modern twist. I had the falwaffle, the waffle was light and fluffy inside and crunchy on the outside with the lovely traditional falafel taste. Topped with eggplant, roasted baby toms, pickles, a piquant sauce, poached eggs, and spinach every mouthful was yummy. It was a interesting hybrid of breakfast staple meets middle eastern flavours. My husband had the Shakshuka with lamb and wiped his pan clean with the fried flatbread that accompanies the dish. If your looking to eat brunch or lunch somewhere different in Freo, visit Kazoomi's you won't regret it."

"Very impressed. Spinach and chia wrap with creamy nut cheese was full of delicious fresh vegetables. The beetroot salad had delicious pomegranate through out. The wrap was super big and full and the salad was great on the side, it was a large serve for $12.50, two of us shared it. I will be trying more of whats on offer from Karanaki's."
