"Das Mittagsmenu, Spinatsuppe, Salat, Saltimbocca und Mousse au Chocolat war in Ordnung und zum Preis von CHF 27.- recht günstig, abgesehen von den eher teuren Getränken. Die Bedienung (1 Person auf etwa 30 Gäste) hingegen einfach ungenügend. Die Wartezeiten dementsprechend sehr lange und die Kaffeebestellung ging vergessen.Schade, in diesem traditionellen Lokal sollte man sich besser organisieren."

"We were visiting the Christmas market in Münsterplatz, Basel and the family needed to eat. The Zum Issak is accessed from a side door and has no big windows “shouting” restaurant. Very busy, clean crisp interior. We love good service and good food at a reasonable price and Zum Isaak ticked all the boxes. Two adults, 2 ten year olds having lunch with soft drinks came to 107:20chf . Definitely will re-visit next time we’re in Basel."

"We were krafft to a lunch in the restaurant. despite the rather small selection (which is to be welcomed in principle) everyone found something after their taste. In particular, the meat-kÃ1⁄4lein and the teigwaren and the mini dessert with a coffee, which also finds itself in the magenta after two generously sized courses. only the service was a little slow, but friendly."

"Ate in the upstairs dining room with a group. Food was very good; venison was really well cooked and a lovely piece of meat. Service good and ambience was really nice. Didn't see the bill but would go back again for the quality of the food and the experience."

"In an informal but pleasant setting opposite the historic Town Hall, this restaurant offered a good menu with a specials board at lunchtime. Starter was onion soup (very strangely the bread was served in a paper bag! Surely a plate could have been provided); I...then chose Zanderfilet, very good fish, and banana split to finish. Friendly but leisurely service."
