"We had the most disappointing experience at the Raani Palace after years of trying Indian restaurants across Perth. We ordered the night's special goat curry and mixed vegetable curry with some naan and roti. While the goat curry was mediocre, but the mixed veg curry was just a mix of big chucky pieces of vegetables steamed and served. When we raised this with the staff they acted indifferent. Very pricey menu for tasteless and unauthentic food. Giving one star as zero star is not an option."

"Initially we had gone to Guildford for breakfast, but everywhere was full so we thought we would try Hedgehogs Cafe in Bassendean.This is a little family style cafe on the old Perth Road. The menu was interesting as it had the usual suspects and a few different options. I am usually a scrambled eggs girl, but I thought I would splash out and go for the French toast. The husband went for the master breakfast (a full cooked breakfast) and two lattes. The French toast comes with either berry compote and ice cream or bacon and maple syrup. To be honest I don't care for either, to me a good French toast can stand on its own. I was expecting to pay the $16 for the French toast even though I had asked them not to give me the options, but they didn't charge me the full price. So to recap, a full cooked breakfast, a plain French toast, a mug of latte and a cup of latte totalled $32. I was happy with that.I was expecting our coffees to come out and then our breakfast, but that wasn't the case after a little wait everything came out at once. Usually this would be awesome, but today I was starving hungry. The meal came out and I can't fault it. Just perfect.So to the pros and cons:Pros -1. Good menu2. Good food3. Quiet locationCons -1. I would have appreciated quicker service.I will go there again."

"Hubby and I have been here 3 times, most recently for Valentines Dinner. If you're after Authentic Italian food that is consistently good, this is the place to be. The staff always very friendly and thoughtful."
