"The Tavern has struggled the last few months. They have had turnover in management, waitress personnel and systems. The services delays have recently been corrected but my salad arrived without poppy seed dressing and it took a long time to get hold of our waiter. Eventually everything was corrected"

"This was a eat-whatever-you-want meal celebrating a coworker's retirement and a going away party. This was my 1st time eating here and it didn't disappoint at all. As soon as I walked in I noticed just how dimly lit the place was and at every table a light was lighting up each individual table. The only negative thing that happened was that one of the hosts gave us a slight bad attitude because we didn't have reservations, but there were plenty of empty tables. We were sat immediately and greeted immediately by our server. She walked us through the menu and gave her suggestions. We had raw oysters, fried asparagus, a cowboy bone in ribeye with prawns and a small lobster tail. I would highly recommend coming here! I also here their pork chop is delicious too!"

"I tried to come here for a while, not on my way, but I'm so glad I finally had the chance. The Sarris name is legendary in Birmingham in connection with good food, how many of us loved to be greeted by Miss Lena at John's Restaurantt in him 's Heday and the Greeks possess the book when it comes to meat and three! This is one of the original simple meat and three with about 6 meat choices and 8 vegetables (or more), but the spinach will have me back on Mondays and Wednesdays."

"The service here was very good, both our server and the hostess were wonderful. We had an enjoyable meal. We had the bang bang shrimp appetizer and enjoyed it. My daughter had the pasta with marinara sauce and ate every bite. She recommends it. My husband ordered the snow crab and it was very flavorful. I had the coastal seafood pasta and I liked mine also. I was pleased that the scallops were not overcooked. And the mussels were very tasty. Give Landrys a try if you haven't been. The atmosphere is nice and the food and service are good!"

"This restaurant was AMAZING! From the food to the service staff, everything was impeccable! I ordered chicken that was seasoned and fried to perfection! The cheese grits were creamy and did not have to have any salt added to them. The pancakes were huge! They have this homemade syrup that is very good with hints of praline or some kind of nut. They served HUGE pancakes! I will definitely return."

"Everything was awesome. The Tomahawk steak, onion rings and Fleming's potatoes was delicious. We loved everything. We forgot to take a picture of the dessert which was the molten chocolate cake. We had a Blueberry Martini and a whiskey sour that was good also. We will definitely be back."
