"My friend and I have taken to touring Cardiff coffee shops in our lunch breaks when we can, and trying to find the best coffee in Cardiff. Le Rendez-Vous wasn't the worst coffee I've had in Cardiff by any means, but the location is definitely the main selling point. The Americano was perfectly average, and the Flat White too weak, though the size of a regular was bigger than some large coffees I've had. It was very busy, but the clientel was very specific and mostly there for lunch (which to look at was perhaps even more lack-lustre. Overall there are much better options not very far away, so if you're looking for good coffee, you could probably do better."

"Popped into this excellent vegetarian eatery after a busy Christmas shopping day in Cardiff. Crumbs has been in the same spot for many years and is really a gem of a place. Had a delightful homemade Stilton Broccoli Soup, bread roll and oat milk...latte. First class with a five star rating."

"We're here a few weeks ago, we left it last minute to book, but they managed to press us! The place is super authentic and a beautiful building feels like you are not in Pontcanna. Very for vegans, food is also favorable for this area."

"Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids dined here for dinner while we stayed in Cardiff for 2 nights. Basically it was the most expensive restaurant we visited and the food didn't match the price at all. All our mains were tasty. I got a curry which tasted great. We ordered dessert and the sticky toffee pudding came out cold! Due to covid 19 restrictions, all meals and drinks were served on cardboard takeaway plates and drinks in plastic cups. This ruined it a bit eating our meals out of boxes even though we dined in and paid lots. The restaurant did look nice and seems like it would usually have a nice vibe, but covid 19 has possibly greatly affected it."

"This is a specialist tea sellers, with all their tea sourced from particular estates, (and correspondingly expensive) and most of it organic so high marks environmentally! The staff are very knowledgeable about it and enthusiastic and helpful; it is clearly a place where you can order an expensive tea (and maybe a cake) and while away an hour or so reading or chatting to friends (their are some very comfy armchairs, etc They do a couple of vegan cakes every day which are delicious. However, whilst there are vegan choices at lunchtime (generally soups) they also serve meat and fish, so I would only recommend it at non-mealtimes (and lunch can go on until about 3.00, I was told). Very nice otherwise, though and easy to find close to John Lewis."
