"I live and work in crows Nest, so I had the opportunity in the years to try every coffee in the suburb. Zarbar is the best. <br>

Since every coffee lovers will know, the Barista makes a difference. Consistency is one of the virtues of a large baristas and Zar is amazingly consistent. I've never had a bad coffee ever. Beautiful taste and temperature, every time. Zar is the only Barista, so you can be sure to get a perfect casting. No other café in crows nest can do that. There are other places in the area that beat over your beans, but the quality is HIT-AND-MISS, because every time there is another barista in the machine. <br>

I am always impressed how fast she works. On a busy day on which you need a quick coffee, this can be an additional bonus for the Zarbar experience. It will manage a large order in record time and still maintain quality. <br>

Zarbar also has some beautiful food options. There are paleo and vegetarian choices. The "Breakfast Special" is a healthy roasted sandwich that will keep you satisfied all day. If you are pingular at your Vegemite toast, you can specify the perfect spread with your simple tanking system. The good food is an additional bonus for the good coffee."

"Lovely ambience and delicious food! We had a bunch of different dishes and used share plates so all of us could have a taste of everything. My personal favourite were the scallops, and the curry. The other dishes were quite good as well. Only thing I would change next time is the fish pie. The taste was good, but I felt it was a bit less special compared to the other dishes."

"Double cross is a warm and inviting cafe in the middle of the crows nest. The BAE (Bacon Arvo Eggs) roll is delicious and fresh. Grief
You know your coffee and make a delicious batch brew. The best thing about this café is the staff, which is friendly, helpful and fast."

"What a cute name is Bo Thai (bowtie)! After finding out the connection it has to Home in the city (my absolute favourite for thai in Sydney!) there was no stopping me in checking out this little place on the North Shore.<br>

Overall it didn’t quite meet the level of Home, however the food was still pretty damn good. And on top of that, the staff at Bo are so lovely and hard working. Really great service which is one up Home and actually pretty hard to come by with the city staff. Bo was ridiculously busy, mainly with the continuous stream of takeaway/delivery orders, yet the staff managed to speed through it all with a smile on their face.<br>

Having a craving for som tam but also fearing the level of spiciness I had to go through, it was actually quite a relief that it wasn’t too bad in heat. Still hot but manageable. Felt the serving was a little small for the price though. However, would still recommend as it was tasty.<br>

"So this was nice, had it on our radar to try, I think the Plant Based range has increased from when we first looked at it. It has a good array of choices with quite a reasonable range of breakfast and lunch choices so certainly enough choices to keep everyone happy. The courtyard was nice, heaters were running, it was quite cosy, it wasn’t a cold cold day outside but if it was I think it would still be ok. We had Brekky Wrap as GF, Big breakfast and Our Stack. Brekky Wrap served on a GF wrap however it has the “Made with Plants” Facon in it, so, not so GF. Big Breakfast was OK, I had a hash brown with it as an extra, which was a hand made, potato cake type hash brown, it was ok, not what I was expecting. The Our Stack was good, it came with a very large serve of half an avocado on the spinach and mushrooms. I feel the Big Breakfast could have a tofu scramble or similar with it because without the hash brown it might have been a bit underwhelming. I found the Big Breakfast at another local haunt a bit better tbh. Spinach and mushrooms cooked in oil, so a bit greasy for us as we are low to no oil, so we really notice it. Oil provides that lustre I suppose rather than just some blanched spinach so I get it but it was a bit ott for our liking. It is just across the road from what will be the new Crows Nest Metro station that might be open in 2023. Updated from previous review on 2022-07-31"

"Thought I would go and try something new in crows nest for brunch. Wow! I think I have found the next place to be!! A chilled out cafe that has a great vibe even when you are not feeling so fresh. Welcomed by friendly staff we browsed the menu. Perfect all day breakfast. My friend and I where recommend the his & her breakfast! The perfect hangover cure to say the least! This breakfast was perfect. Perfectly cooked haloumi, half a ripe Avocado, Roma tomatoes, poached eggs, mushrooms and spinach for the price there was no shortage of food here! Defiantly recommend this cozy venue. I have found my new hangout!! Will be back for sure!"

"Food was very bland and disappointing. We ordered:<br>
- Butter Chicken: was very tomato-y and watery. Tasted like a tomato soup more than anything. <br>
- Palak Paneer: very bad mix, did not taste anything like a good palak paneer and the paneer tasted horrible as well. <br>
- Eggplant and Tomato: just tasted like eggplant with onions in tomato sauce.<br>
- samosas: very small, definitely not value for money. They also tasted sub-par. <br>
- garlic naan: barely any garlic on it. Just tasted like plain bread. <br>

Overall, very expensive and very disappointing. I would not come here again."

"Thai food in a comfortable environment at the beginning of the dining strip on the crownest. The food was decent, but probably towards the milder end. We had the grilled chicken (Gai Yang), the red duck curry with Litschi and the vegetable and tofu basil-foreheadry. Nothing in a good way or bad."
