"This is a hidden gem in Milan. Situated in a medium security prison, this is a succesful rehabilitation project training prisoners in the art of gastronomic cuisine. The meals are cooked and served by inmates and other than the entrance to the restaurant, one would never know that. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with posters of « prison » movies. The food is excellent and generous and their wine list is impressive but reasonable. A very pleasant evening and a good cause to support. Note that it is located about 35 minutes from the city centre."

"The manager brought the check without the 30% discount. Had to ask for the discount and to show my booking for the second time. Then we saw that we were charged for the bottle of wine twice more than the menu price. The manager initially insisted we had been served a bigger bottle, but eventually admitted it was the waiter’s fault. It’s a shame that the manger at such a nice restaurant tries do nasty tricks on the customers. Ruins the whole impression."

"We went two times there, the first time was great, good food and nice friendly service. They propose a good selection of Italian wine. So happy we decided to go back there the day after, and, what a disapointment: the waiter was cold, distant, unfriendly. What a shame. We did not go back, and most probably will not go back there. It's a pity because food is great!"

"We were recommended this place by Milanese friends. I have to say that we like light cuisine and are usually more fans of south italian food, and we’re vegetarian, so please read this with that in mind. The restaurant is adorable, with view on the kitchen! Small menu so very good sign, but not many vegetarian options, so we ordered what we could althought none of the options contained very seasonal products. Service is impeccable and very professionnal. We sat alone that night and had the whole team for ourselves. People seemed to have deserted that part of the city unusual for a saturday night, maybe it was because of Easter. Unfortunately the food wasn’t at all what we expected. Bruschette were fine, then the grilled veggies (around 6 euro for basically 6 slices of eggplant, zuchetti and potato) tasted like nothing and were watery, and then the funghi porcini! They seemed to come straight out of water, absolutely no taste, bad texture, moss was still on and tasted like jelly, they were just cut into half and trown a few minutes under a grill, not even enough to heat them up! I felt so bad for such a wonderful product but did not eat it. Pasta (truffle and porcini again, only veggie options on the menu) were fade and heavy. Pasta itself was good, but the dish wasn’t. With a cooking crew cooking just for us, I cannot understand what happened that night. After paying we went straight to another restaurant where we had wonderful simple tomato pasta. Service again was very good. The waiter felt extremely bad and did not make us pay the funghi, which we very much appreciated. Maybe they are good at meat, but as an umbrian restaurant, I would expect at least the truffle and funghi to be good. Alltogether: we hit the wrong night, or please change your basic ingredients to ones that are seasonal, and maybe change the cook."
