"We had spent hours on foot and found this picturesque little restaurant. we had managed to sleep our daughter in the children's car and just wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and some lunch. Unfortunately, we didn't even get time to see the menu....The lady who came to serve us was just fucking really rude. so involuntary and simply evil, so we said not to worry and left. it was really not known. we were just a nice young family who wanted to enjoy French culture best. rude rude rude!"

"Basically the waiters are no good. Didn't get a chance to eat their food as their service was so slow, they kept ignoring us and forgetting our order. In full:Happened to walk by this nice looking place a bit later in the evening. The space outside is extremely inviting! However, after sitting down at one of the empty tables it took us about 20min to get any attention of the waiters, we even had to walk in to order some wine and a cheese platter. The wine arrived, however the platter never did, even after waiting another 30min. Then, when trying to flag down one of the 3 waiters that kept popping outside and serving others to pay our check, there was still no response.We got a little tired of this:p so we headed back in ourselves to pay. The guy behind the bar insisted we pay for the platter, even though we never got it. The girl who took our order before stood next to him, looked at us, then turned her back without saying anything. We managed to pay for our drinks only, after trying to explain for about 5min. All in all, I really didn't understand why the service was so bad:p The restaurant was hardly full, there were more than enough waiters, but they all had a glaze in front of their eyes. Without this the restaurant could be phenomenal! After this visit I read some of the other reviews which also talked about the horrid service, but complemented the location and food. So, if you don't mind waiting waiting and more waiting, be sure to try this place:p"

"If you are in the area of the Church of Saint Joan d'Arc, you are very close to La Taormina and this restaurant is a great place for an easy dinner. The service was outstanding and the restaurant is relaxed and comfortable. It is a good place for a couple or a family to have dinner. We liked it enough to return a second evening! We had the salads and split a pizza the first night and were very happy and full. Second night, I had the lasagna and my wife had a vegetarian spaghetti. Again, we returned to our hotel full and very happy that we had found La Taormina. If you like Italian, you will like this restaurant."

"As we stripped down the street of rue Republique after checking out the chapels, we stopped at this restaurant. We were laughing about, yeah right-click like are going to have Indian food in France, what about my escargot and foie gras? Then as we continue our way while I looked at the restaurant near by... Hey there is a place rated 4.5 stars near here, and to our surprise, it's this Indian restaurant. I'm not especially favor Indian food but just curious about the 4.5 stars, so we entered. Briyani poulet- wow! I thought silicon valley has pretty good Indian food, even though I did try some (not big on Indian food), but this was better than any I had. The rice was done just right, not too hard, not too soft and al dente enough with nice rich flavor, the curry sauce was awesome as well, just hope they put in more curry sauce. Briyani Agneau - The lamb was as good! Curry with spinach and prawns - I don't remember the name, prawns were fresh, flavor of the curry was so good that it carried the spinach and prawns perfectly. Nan - love the garlic Nan. Well, the price was very reasonable and the food was very good. If this restaurant is located in silicon valley, I'll be start eating Indian food more often!"
