"My teen daughter had here recently some appetitors with friends, so was very striving to return. the online reviews are very mixed, so I was a little unwilling, but also happy to try somewhere new. unfortunately the negative reviews were on site. that was only. to distribute the whole round. I'll start eating. cut down and certainly not cheap. the green chicken curry was $18 (approx. right) but was watery and bland. the shimmering bark was much better, but at $23 it should be. the spicy lamb was $22, but had a quite overwhelming taste. the spring rolls were good. that was okay. the kalamari I can only call deep-fried giraffenzunge. large, thick and chewing. no dizziness. as soon as you enter her, the diligent slipped off. despite the demand for rice for all three of us we were presented with a tiny part, so we had to ask for two more. the Roti-Brot was tiny, but delicious. the Thai coffee was nine parts of ice, a part of coffee. my teenage son was horrified how little liquid there was. the glass shiraz was good. service: as others have commented, this is not existent, borders on shockingly bad and rude. we were there two hours and spent $125. not even we get a smile or something that approaches the warmth or courtesy far away. Eat and drinks were simply put on the table and the waitress went off. the two ladies seemed much more interested in eating their food or spending time in front of their laptop. I am trying to remember any restaurant or caffe where the service was so consistently terrible. seriously people, if the interaction with people is so difficult for them, then perhaps a career in the service industry is not for them. Maybe we caught them in a bad night, but I doubt it. there are many other reviews to recommend our experience was not unique. we will not be back there is much better place in sandrigham, hampton or black rock with good food and much better service."

"We read the past reviews and thought they were just people being too fussy, we are not fussy eaters and were very hungry but the food we ordered was boardering on ineadible. Over battered, over oiled, completely tasteless and expensive. We like to support our local traders but are sad to say that we will never return to Sing Tao."

"We’ve been visiting this place for the past 2 years and food has always been great. Our favourites are the Hainanese chicken rice and Duck curry laksa. These are the usual meals we order along with some sides. Service is always good. We manage to get a seat even during peak hours."
