"Visited or my daughters birthday. Arrived and were seated had to wait a bit for drinks which didn’t auger well. Waited another 10-15 minutes before order taken . A full hour before starters, apology prawn crackers just before they arrived. Squid like rubber bands wife and daughter happy. Main course another thirty minutes. People who had come in after us served food well before us. Main course beef and black bean also very chewy (chef on a roll) bill came and told we wouldn’t be charged for the complementary prawn crackers . Won’t be back Zen in Durham much better food and service."

"I rung Mr. Cheng's to ask about a large order for Chinese New Year the person said no and abruptly hung up. I then called again, and the same thing happened. The third time a different person picked up and said they would not do that and I asked whether the order was too big or they were booked or why exactly (as I could have altered the order), and the person repeated the couldn't and hung up again. Was really looking forward to it as the reviews make the food sound great!"
