"Took my family of 6 there tonight based on some good reviews I read. As soon as we walked in we commented on the strange smell. We got to our table and the floor was very sticky all around the table, which was a little strange. As soon as I opened the menu I was shocked at the prices this was easily the most expensive sushi restaurant I've ever been to, and I travel all over the world and have been to many sushi restaurants in expensive cites. We ordered and each of our entries was brought out separately at different times, with one of my daughters meal (a dragon roll) not arriving until everyone else was finished despite me asking our waiter about it and him promising that it was almost ready. One of my daughters and I both ordered a salmon roll and tuna roll and it was very disappointing very small and not alot of flavor. My wife ordered a crunch roll and it was very sweet tasting, she couldn't finish it. When the check arrived they had added a 22% tip. I know that it is customary to add a tip for larger parties, but 22%?? Where did that come from?? Especially since the food and service and atmosphere was not good. I didn't mention the load music playing the entire time. Sorry, but I can't recommend! There's got to be better choices around!"

"That was the most amazing Thai restaurant I ever was. I'm a cook from scottsdale and I have to say that these recipes and who cooks in the back mix so that you can taste everything and it's right at the point. if you are in flagship, don't waste your time looking for something else."

"Food was great! The wings were perfect and our tan tan ramen was delicious. It’s on the spicy side so be careful! But we love spicy foods so that wasn’t an issue for us. Customer service is also great everyone is very friendly. It gets pretty busy and it’s crowded so if you don’t like to eat in crowded places I suggest you take it to go."

"Monsoon is a mediocre restaurant that is pampered by a perfect location on the corner of the Heritage Square downtown. This situation brings them much more attention than they would otherwise be based on a mostly uninteresting menu of Asian dishes and incredibly inconsistent sushi. Her rainbow roll, for example, has been for me from large, fresh and tasty, up to something anemic looking, varied, seemed to sit in a bed vinegar. If you're in downtown and you really can't be harassed to drive five minutes to Hiro, Monsoon could pass you, but it's nothing to enjoy. Update June 2009: I took Bestsushi's proposal and tried Monsoon recently. If at all, the food is now consistently moderate rather than occasionally good. Rainbow roll? Less than I have past meals, with Bland fish, and still overwhelmed. Mostly tasteless soup. Skip."
