"We waited 25 minutes for two bowls of pho. Tables arriving after us were served well before us whilst the service staff stood around chatting. No one cared. No one bothered to explain what was happening and no one cared that we left without eating....We won’t be back and can not recommend this sloppy attempt at service when there is so much competition nearby."

"Stopped in marrickville for some grocery shopping and stopped by there what I find weird was the menu was a fusion of Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Having previous experience of trying a thai dish in a Vietnamese restaurant I wasn't going to make the same mistake again. Decided to order the fried noodles with BBQ pork and vegetables. The dish was OK with a nice amount of sauce so it wasn't dry and the vegetable were cooked well it just felt more like a Chinese stir fry to me then a traditional Vietnamese dish."

"Spring rolls were really delicious and good size. For main, we ordered pho beef and lemon grass chicken. Pho came out with a good serving size and was delicious however the broth lacked substantial flavor so had to ask for extra chilli etc. to enrich the flavors. But nevertheless was not too bad. Lemon grass on the other hand was great and rich in flavor. We also ordered a green tea creme caramel for desert, and it was nice, however not sweet enough for my husband's taste. We will definitely try this place as overall the ambiance was nice, portion sizes were generous and taste of some of the food was great"

"Ordered from here on Uber Eats on impulse. I went for spring rolls as a entree which were crunchy and full of flavour, and the salt and pepper squid which came lightly fried with herbs and chilli and a dipping sauce, which all round was...pretty decent. I may have to try a few more dishes to get a feel for the place, but what I ordered was pretty satisfying."

"Unbeatable Vietnamese food and unmatched efficiency by the staff! It’s a bit loud and busy but that all contributes to the atmosphere, the food comes out quick and is cheap and amazing. Worth venturing off the pho menu because while the soup is awesome their stir fry’s and pork chop combo plates are crazy"

"I had heard a lot about this restaurant, and everyone said how great it was, but the service really left everything else down. it was difficult to place an order, to catch a coworker to order more drinks or get water and at the end it went elsewhere for a drink. the meal times were left to fall on the table with little explanation (if we did not ask) and we had no warning when the meal was finished when the communication was terrible."

"Papaya Grill is one of those consistently good restaurants for when you have meat cravings but also want to avoid the consequences of heavy meat consumption (heartburn/gout/calories). That's the essence of their food - satisfying without being overwhelming. I would recommend their ox tongue, a delectable, melt-in-your-mouth experience, while a side plate of mint and lettuce elevates the dish to a place you did not think possible. The quails are also excellent - but might be a bit confronting for those of you who are reluctant to eat food that looks like a cute little bird. We the Food Hunters have no such qualms, having been reared in environments where the eating of internal organs and the like was de rigueur, but for those more sensitive about the appearance of their food, I would suggest the salads and soups which are reliably well balanced in their flavours and textures."
