"It's Asian fusion. The menu covers Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, a bit Korean and Japanese. Nothing is phenomenal but everything is pretty ok. This is downtown DC. I think to find an above average Asian fusion is really a plus, with all considered. The service is great. And it's a decent place for groups, family. The bill won't break your wallet for downtown DC pricing."

"My mother and I were visiting from NY to see my Aunt , who lives in DC. I googled the best place in DC for dim sum and found Ping Pong. We would not be disappointed. We chose the $25 tasting menu, which included different type of dumplings, such as lobster and shrimp ,crispy prawn rolls , pork buns ,delicately sweet, yet, not too spicy. I ordered a peach earl grey julep which paired delightfully with the entrées. My only complaint was with our dessert, sweet pineapple filled spring rolls, that were served with cinnamon ice cream, which was great. I just wish we were each given a scoop of ice cream, instead of having to share a big scoop. All in All, I gladly recommend Ping Pong to anyone looking for great Dim Sum in DC."

"I was recently invited to the soft opening of Policy this past Thursday and the place was delightful. I described the atmosphere of Policy to my friends, as 'Urban Glam. ' With its graffiti adorned walls and over-the-top chandeliers in its upstairs lounge,"

"I came here for Sunday brunch. What a disappointment. I know people love an all you can eat buffet but the food here was mediocre at best. The crowd was so large that we had to wait for a table even though we had a reservation. They never refilled or were slow to refill dishes ev$n though we were there at noon. The food stations were often filthy, the eggs were cold, and the hash browns looked terrible. The staff was friendly though they all looked pretty harried. There are many wonderful places to have brunch in D.C. but this is not one of them. I am genuinely surprised this place gets great reviews. Perhaps some people value quantity over quality?"

"Unique fusion twist on Taiwanese and Cambodian food. The wings were pretty good, the shrimp wontons were pretty standard but with some fried onion and unique sauce on them instead of just standard soy sauce. Good but nothing amazing. Bao buns were good. Chicken wings were good. Spicy beef bowl was okay, I personally wouldn?t order it again. Five spice latte was very interesting, and surprisingly tasted good. Egg tarts were delicious."

"As someone who has lived in Japan for two years, I had high expectations for this downtown izakaya. However, my experience fell short of what I anticipated. While I typically appreciate a chef's unique take on classic dishes, the menu here seemed more Americanized than authentically enhanced, deviating from the traditional izakaya essence I was looking forward to. Additionally, the portion sizes were notably small compared to the prices. Understanding that izakayas serve tapas-style dishes, I still found the value to be lacking. On a positive note, the ambience was pleasing and the service was generally good, although we did experience a delay in being seated despite having a reservation, and the service at the bar was somewhat lackluster. Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the dining experience didn't quite meet my expectations."
