"My fiancé called to set up an appointment for a wedding cake. He mentioned it would be smaller and was told that we would not be able to do a tasting because it’s not worth her time or money. I don’t necessarily agree, but I get it with food costs going up and labor shortages. But the tone that the information was given to us in made it seem like we were wasting her time. Against my better judgement we still we ahead and met to discuss a cake. I am all about supporting local business and more importantly female owned businesses. I chalked it up to maybe she was having a bad day. We show up for our meeting and again her attitude is very short and bothered. We clearly were wasting her time by trying to give her business. It’s all very confusing to me. Anyway, we still talked through everything and I just dealt with the attitude because as a stressed out bride, I just wanted to get the cakes book. Again, against my better judgment. Our appointment was 5 weeks ago and we still have not received a quote on our cake. The message is loud and clear she did not want our business. As to why? I have no idea. We have been fans of the bakery from the beginning which is why we chose it for our wedding cake. Sadly, we will not be patronizing this business anymore. It’s very sad, because again I am not sure why we were treated so badly."
