"We had such an amazing night here! This place is quintessential New Orleans Jazz, and if you want a relaxing evening of wonderful music to accompany a fabulous dinner, this is exactly what you're looking for. We saw Mark Braud and his band here on a Sunday evening, and they were simply wonderful! They all clearly enjoy performing, and every one of them is immensely talented and yet down to earth. They put on a superb show that made our night. Not to be outdone however, thekitchen here works miracles. My partner had an absolutely perfect plate of Cajun creole pasta, with just the right amount of everything. When we ordered, I told our server that I was having a hard time choosing between the chicken and thepork chop, and she steered me to the pork I'm so grateful she did! The pork chop was perfectly cooked and super juicy, and the white wine and mushroom sauce it was served with was absolutely to die for. My partners favorite dish is CajunCreole pasta, and when he tried the pork chop, he almost wished he'd ordered it instead! Our server and the other wait staff were all friendly and helpful, and were nearby anytime we needed anything, and kept our drinks coming through theevening. Nina, the lovely owner of the Palm Court, was the perfect host, checking in with everyone and getting them involved, playing MC with the mic in between sets, and dancing around and generally enjoying herself with everyone. Thislady is a gem! The atmosphere here is exactly what we wanted from our visit. Thank you all for a wonderful New Orleans experience. We'll be back with friends and family on our next visit!"

"That was the second time that I met in this restaurant with family members, and I cannot owe the service here. we met before on a Sunday to lunch and found it very busy, but still enjoyed it. this time we met for Saturday dinner and there were only a few people who were perfect for us. we had a beautiful owal story that is much better than a straight table, as we were all able to talk to each other very easily. the meals were well presented and no one had complained about eating or paving. we needed wheelchair access for one of our party, which was also not a problem. all in all, a very pleasant family dinner and we would meet again in the future safely."

"We walked in and was made to feel as welcome as a fart in a space suit from a guy dressed like he'd just been on stage with The Happy Monday's he barked at us the took us to a table. The food arrived and it had coloured chips well one was green. On leaving payed by card and it didn't go through, we sat and finished our drinks we where about to leave when a waitress rushed over shouting. You can't leave you've not paid. As the whole pub looked at us. The PDQ machine wasn't working properly so we paid and left with no thanks.... we will not be returning and we only live in Pocklington."

"First time dinning here and it was different from what I was used to. Glad we decided to stop in and try it. The food was served with a smile and everything was great. There are a few other things on the menu I plan to try the next time. If you have not had the Scotch Egg, do yourself a favor and order it."

"Very friendly welcome by the team and choice of seating area. Good choice of food options on the menu. The service was lovely and speedy but it was the food which was standout. Hot, freshly cooked and presented beautifully and more importantly, tasted delicious. The portion sizes were very generous. Really lovely dining experience."

"This place not only speaks for itself as an Irish pub, but the Bangers and Mash were incredible. We were there on 16. March, the day before St. Paddy's, and a representative was at the place where he gave brother-in-law and free guiness. We had an explosion! The staff is amazing."

"We found the staff to be attentive , friendly and helpful .Our party arrived at separate times and were shown to our table without fuss or delay. We were a bit slow at ordering our food but the waitress allowed us plenty of time . All food arrived at the same time and was well cooked and well presented on hot plates and of good quantity. Suitable sauces were also brought quickly on request. Drink requests were also quickly attended to. Waitress also enquired if there were any problems with the meals a few minutes after they were delivered. There were no problems. One of our party was aged and was relieved to find a disabled parking slot available immediately adjacent to the entrance. Only two such spaces appeared to be set aside could there be more made available? Our table was also on the upper area of the split level inside the building and the three access steps did cause some problems for the year old. This was hardly the fault of the staff as I did not mention this when booking the table or request a table on the level. The table was booked on line and as far as I could see apologies if I am wrong there was no mention of the split level with regard to possible guest walking difficulties. Perhaps this could be added to the site page?Altogether we had a very enjoyable evening. Thank you"

"The Sandpiper was fine but they had to squeeze the 5 seats in because unfortunately the booking from Open Table was never received by them. This could have turned embarrassing because it was Mothers Day and two mums were present."
