"Looked on Trip Advisor and checked out some restaurant reviews and decided to check Penny Whistle out. Was not sure what to expect but was willing to experience the moment. Came in and was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the bar / restaurant. Tables were clean as well as the floors and bar area. Sat down and the waiter, Dave welcomed us. I mentioned that I had read the reviews on the restaurant which seemed t perk more interest. We asked about the menu, British, Canadian and Indian food and he explained the various chooses of food being offered. We picked two different dishes: Penny Whistle pie and the steak sandwich. The drinks were Tomato juice and iced tea. For starters we tried the soup of the day Carrot ginger (one bowl for two).The soup was extremely good (good taste). Would order again. The tomato juice was good bad surprised with the ice added. The ice tea was good and could the ice in that.Found the steak sandwich to be good with the garden salad (French) on the side. Could not eat the bun as it was large. The Penny Whistle pie was very good with chicken and veggies inside. The pastry was flaky not doughy which was good.The meal was very good as well as the price. Found the service by Dave to be very good. He came over several times to check and make sure all was good. He was very helpful during our visit.The owner also came over to check on the service and food. The restaurant was not busy initially (we came around 4:30 PM) however it was more then half full by the time we left at 6:30 PM. Not bad considering this was a long weekend. It was a good visit to this restaurant / British pub which we will visit again and try some other dishes so we can experience the moment.Good one Dave. Ted"

"We were here today between appointments for a quick bite as my son asked for it for his birthday. The Manager Dorathy really went out of her way to make our visit special. They even came out and sang my son happy birthday. They offered us table service (very helpful with 2 small kids). They had crowns, colouring and stickers for the kids too. The store is very well kept. It is clear the staff are well cared for. I feel terrible I forgot our cashier's name, but she was lovely and very helpful too with figuring out the app."

"Amazing food! highly recommend the mezé app. Everyone at our table was super satisfied with their meal and the service was great as well. Only recommendation to them is more vegetarian options. I'm pescatarian and luckily the modified something for me (gnocchi is delicious and they just took out the pork belly and left in the lobster and crab . You can also make that completely vegetarian however thats the only option. Overall amazing experience and going to tell my friends to try this place for sure! :"
