"OUR WAITER AARON WAS SPECTACULAR AND THIS IS NO REFLECTION ON HIM. The beer and food were fantastic but grotesquely over priced. I payed (before tax) $16 for a Buffalo chicken sandwich and the prices were not listed on the beer menu which I find unfair to the customer. Tell your patrons what they're paying for, it isn't that hard. AT THIS POINT I would not recommend. That being said I am a very big craft-beer/ brewery guy so this comes hard for me to say but the truth must be spoken. I would love to return if/when they get they get these issues sorted, however until then I will not be returning."

"BEWARE!! If ur gonna order from this place do not use your card to pay. They are scammers. I go home and realize that my card was charged twice and both transactions went through. When I was there it was the girl cashier. They are friendly but probably because they wanna pull a scam behind ur back."

"I ordered Mediterranean Seafood Stew. As for my entre, I ordered siliron steak sandwich with side salad. I loved my steak sandwich and the side greek salad was the best Greek salad I’ve ever had. Ms. Brittney was very polite and delivered a great service to our table."

"We visited Providence for the start of our son’s Brown University debut and tried many restaurants over a 1 week period. We stumbled on a brand new place called Succotash, a souther table breakfast, brunch and dinner restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy with warm barn wood all over the place. The staff was helpful and friendly as we asked many questions about the menu etc. We each had a different entree but started with the fried pickles, calamari and biscuits and gravy. They were all splendid and very tasty so we were looking forward to the main dish. We had fried chicken and waffles, catfish and the pork chop. All were just great! Very fresh and flavorful. My son said he would be back for breakfast and his morning juice from there juice bar."

"Oak! Restaurant Oak is a very welcome fixture in the Hope district. It is walking distance to much of the numbered streets on the East Side, and near Blackstone park. It has a changing menu, an 8-seat bar, and a very courteous staff. The brunch is quite good, my favorite is their Juevos Rancheros, which I almost exclusively order every Saturday morning. Dinner menu is quite good, they have a Penne Alio e Olio right now with snow peas that is delicious, with several options to “mix in”, such as scallops, shrimp, and other delectables. Quesadillas and black bean burgers, as well as more meat-eater friendly fare, and a Wednesday Prix Fix allowing the customer to pick from a variety of specials. I’ve had mixed results at lunch, but consistently good-to-great brunch and dinners. The icing on the cake is that they serve Voss water, which is a rarity in Providence. I like just about anything that comes in a glass bottle, and Voss is an exceptional bottled water. Their sparkling water is perfect. Recently on the menu is a blackened salmon fillet with a wonderful salsa, and they sometimes have a tuna steak sandwich that knocks me on my ass faster than a crowbar. They frequently have a selection of desserts that compliments just about any meal, and a wine list that is respectable for a restaurant of their size. The staff makes the grade too, they know their menu well, and one of the owners is frequently behind the bar. I love Oak. It is in my regular rotation of places to eat, and I often eat there twice a week."
