"This place was certainly doing a hopping business on the Friday evening we visited. We had no problem getting a table but there was a steady stream of people arriving for take-out orders. We each had Halibut Fish & Chips for (I think) $11.50. One huge tasty piece of fish and lots of excellent hand cut fries. For about $2.50 more, we could have had bread and mushy peas or cole slaw. Our dinner was great value. The service was friendly and prompt. Restaurant is quite plain but clean. Washrooms are huge and clean but could use a vanity or cupboard to cover all the plumbing."

"I have heard over and over again about how good the food is here. So when organizing a large group for a brunch I thought I would give it a try.Knowing that I had a large group I did reserve ahead of time. When I got there, they were ready for us. Pitchers of water on the tables and all the cutlery already set up.As the group staggered in they were ready with clip board for names and orders (separate orders, so more work). Now the food... there is a wide variety and I think we covered a lot of it.I had the special which is cheap $3.99 (peameal $4.95), even the eggs benedict is very reasonably priced. Everyone of us enjoyed our meals and clearly the value cant be beat. Will definitely be returning."

"I regularly come with colleagues to this little diner and have never disappointed! Fresh food from the owner himself and the service is always excellent! The specialties at lunchtime come with homemade soup and frits, homemade frits or salad. Excellent value!"

"I used to stop here once a week for a take out breakfast. Now I stop twice a week for a take out breakfast.I left a comment on the management change a while ago and I promised to review Scrambles again after a few months to see if anything has changed.The staff is very friendly, they get to know you and what you want very quickly. The food is still fantastic as is the coffee. The new owner does not make pies like the old owner did, but my waist line is probably happy they don't.I even asked them to change the recipe for a toasted western. I like green peppers but they don't like me, so I asked if they would substitute the pepper for mushrooms and it tastes pretty good. They even named the new sandwich after me and they have offered it as a daily special. Go over to Scrambles and ask for the Henry sandwich. Let me know if you like it."

"Had the complete chicken dinner, with rice, salad and potatoes and the portions were not only generous, but the quality was very good. The potatoes were not too hard and not too soft and were excellent. Right with rice and salad very delicious.... As for chicken it was moist, well marinated and a decent size. Another very important topic was the temperature of the food, it was hot as it should be. Nothing is worse than a warm or cold meal. Customer service was very polite and professional. You pay a little more, but you get so much more. The facility was also very clean and had a nice ambience, Will definitely back."
