"Pro tip ; there’s no at your table ordering here. First get your drink at the drink station, then pick your table. Then decide what you want from the table menu and go up to the register station to order, OR, go directly to the cafeteria style food counter and get what you like. Meats sold by the quarter pound so you can mix match. I strongly suggest look over both options for the most choices. Food is very good here. Holding back a star for poor signage explaining all this at the entrance, and worse, watching a lot of people just sitting down and waiting for a server that never comes, with no guidance from the employees. A simple sign at every table would fix this awkward problem."

"I had the best time here. its connected to the travel center with local elements n well everything you need. now back to the restaurant. Sit down and take your own soda, menu for skol and Ragnar both on table. You go and order and I asked this great guy what was best on the menu for sandwich and he hit the dragonburger (he was really omg so good, but u must love spices) I got a number on the table and food was taken out. I also have the macaroni salad. My friend got Bourbon crushed chicken and Brussel sprouts she loved. The atmosphere was great, the details wore.. I mean, I don't get out, but I was really excited about this place. Also its plus size in always happy with good seats next to the stands."

"The food was okay but the dirtiest restaurant I have ever seen! We went there at 11 AM right after it opened and it didn’t look like it had even been cleaned the night before. The bathroom was disgusting and had diarrhea in the toilet, no soap, no toilet paper, trashes weren’t taken out, floor was filthy and had chips and cheese all over it and was not mopped the night before. Never again because what are they doing in their kitchen if they let their restaurant look like that!"

"If I could give 100 stars, I would!! This place is amazing! I give reviews all over the country! By far this place is at the top of the MY list!! Huge, clean and so many possibilities! The restaurant is not a typical Iron Skillet! So much better in the SKOL TAVERN Bar and Grill, huge dining room and food was fast and delicious. If you enter, grab your own drink, go to a table, look at the menu and go to the checkout / or SUPER SERVER, JESSICA!!! Order and food comes perfectly ordered! You also have a larger dining room, bar and outdoor dining area with a bar, weather permit. You also have a MCDonald’s, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut Express. The toilets are clean and refurbished with many stands. The whole shop had so many great gift ideas and a whole VIKINGS theme everywhere!! RHONDA! was great to host my questions and said this place, also thought it looks new, said it's here over 20 years! This place will definitely be a place we will make sure that come back when you travel through here!!"

"Wow! We were VERY pleasantly surprised to find such a gem in small-ish town Minnesota! The musical theme of the restaurant resonates throughout and works perfectly. The menu was superb and seasonal, and the wine list was quite extensive (and reasonably priced). We shared the crab cakes (excellent and made of pure lump crab) and sweet corn fritters (just the right amount of spice to start. I had the summer lobster and sweet corn saute with a ginger vinaigrette an unexpected flavor combination but out of this world! My husband had the wild mushroom ravioli which was also lovely. Our friend had the filet and honestly declared it one of the best steaks she'd ever had. We finished up with the chiffon cake with lemon curd (very light and summery with lots of fresh lemon flavor) and the chocolate lava cake (excellent and dark chocolate-y). Our server was very friendly and professional, paying us just the right amount of attention. The star of the show was the talented Chef Bob, though! In addition to the wonderful food he created, he came out at the end of the night to play several classical and baroque songs for the remaining guests on the grand piano. We had thought the player piano providing the background music during our first two courses was great, but his performance was the perfect dessert accompaniment! If you're heading through Albert Lea on I90 or 35 on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, you definitely should stop. Really, even if it's out of your way, Crescendo is worth a trip!"
