"So the wait time was an hour due to the popularity of the place, no issue as there 's lots to see in the big shop, and 2 bars, the ladies at the lower bar were very nice and friendly one with brown hair in a red checked shirt and the second had black hair, nose ring and a lovely smile, both excellent in helping me decide on which beer to try. The wait wasn 't too long and we decided to share the 22oz with 4 sides, $36 so all good. We were going to buy the 72oz between the 4 of us but the price leaped from $72 to $200!!! Note to the management we would have paid $100-120 for this so we actually paid $84 for our meals so you lost out on $40 from just one table, perhaps you should lower the cost? Food was excellent, steak cooked to perfection. Fresh bread rolls were warm and sweet, so nice. No room for pudding which was a shame as the carrot cake had my name on it. Overall a great experience topped off by 2 performers singing Get your kicks on Route 66 with a violin and a guitar. Loved the heads mounted on the walls, some very imposing. Thoroughly recommend eating here, top place."

"We absolutely loved our dinner at OHMS. We were visiting Amarillo for a couple of days and staying at the Barfield downtown. I researched dinner spots and this place seemed to be the best choice. It was exactly the right choice. I called about two weeks ahead and was able to get reservations at the time we wanted. We started with cocktails. They were both good but the bourbon old fashioned was better than the gin cocktail. And the old fashioned here was better than a similar drink at the Paramount Recreation Club next door, the Speakeasy in the basement of the Barfield that you gain entry by buying Paramount cigarettes from an antique machine (suddenly the door behind you opens and voila you 're in). Back to the main story... For appetizer we shared a special of the night, the crab cakes. They were perfectly seared and they were bursting with crabmeat. Spiced just right. And the accompanying sauce, we wanted to lick the plate clean. They were really good. For the mains, one of us had Elk and the other had Chicken. The Elk, recommended medium rare, was oh so tender and moist. The local mushrooms that accompanied were worthy of their own dish. The risotto at the bottom was also good. Unfortunately the photo doesn 't show a dish as delicious as it was. We were surprised a little that the Elk wasn 't more gamey tasting. It 's not a bad thing, just was a surprise. The chicken was also outstanding. Crunchy and moist. The asparagus was firm but tender, and the mashed potatoes were excellent. I must say it could have used a little more gravy as all that gravy was gone a bit before the chicken was. But then i am a sauce guy. No room for dessert. Would love to visit for dinner again! "The pancakes are pretty good, but the environment and atmosphere is poor ???????? The flies were bad here and I had to pick them out of my butter before eating; however my biggest complaint is the poor seating layout. It is very cramped in thisrestaurant, and I was seated right along a walkway. Not only did I have people constantly brushing up against me as they walkedby, but other patrons were so close to me I couldn?t help but overhear their entire conversation about how a 350 pound type 2diabetic was so rushed in the morning he didn?t have time to drink his morning sweet tea? tragic. ??????????? The omelette Iordered was made in a unique way that made the cheese consolidate in one end of the omelette. Very average."
