"Girl at the bar Maddie is brilliant, but the honey BBQ boneless wings are terrible..very dry and hard. We ordered 3 orders. worth $50. of them and after an hour wait this visit (previous visit) 1 hour 15 minutes. Every time the same results. we had to go back this time and get a refund...NIE READ TO AMITE LOCATION."

"The idea.. My idea is to alert these eating places to the reviews at Urbanspoon.com so they may make corrections or get an idea of what they are doing, good or bad, that may help their business. When I leave a place I give them a card directing them to the reviews at Urbanspoon. com. Only a small percentage of the businesses bother, or care, to look at the reviews. Buddy 's Bar and Grill in Hammond being one of the exception. 20 Apr, 2015 Linda and I stopped here Saturday night because the advertisement said Japanese rather than Korean, Vietnamese or Chinese with steak being the part I was interested in. Originally the first Popeye 's Fried Chicken in Amite, the building has been lightly remodeled. We were comfortably seated at a booth and presented with a menu. I spent 5 minutes reviewing the menu in search of something different, and on constant alert for the biggest lie and fraud perpetrated on the Louisiana consumer by the Asian food industry, fake crabmeat, Alaskan Pollock, represented as real crabmeat. They are shameless in calling this crabmeat and representing Alaskan Pollock as crabmeat. Unfortunately, the Louisiana Department of Agriculture under Mike Strain, is asleep at the wheel on this issue. I confronted the management about the issue and it was confirmed that they use the FAKE crabmeat in hot dishes and at no time is it labeled as not real crabmeat. With that understanding out front, I was able to stay clear of the lies and ordered nothing with crabmeat. A simple soup was okay as it had a different flavor than the chicken base won ton soups we usually get. The steak and shrimp main course was fair and the fried rice was interesting as it had few or any vegetables in it. We ate the steak and shrimp and left most of the dull, uninteresting, boring bed of vegetables the steak and shrimp were served on, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower. My question was, where 's the bok chow, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, mushrooms? I 've heard of the Americanization of Oriental food, but there was nothing about this of Japanese other than the process of stir fry. Will not waste my time again."

"Stopped in while visiting area for lunch on a Saturday. It was first weekend open for inside seating. We only had short wait. All employees wearing masks due to Corona virus restrictions. Our table was far from other patrons. Food was excellent. Service was great. Burgers were awesome! Others had Asian dish, grilled chicken, hamburger steak. All enjoyed their meal. Nice atmosphere with beautiful decor."
