"To Norman and Lorraine and all the staff...may I send my gift of appreciation to you all for taking good care of myself and William over the last months whilst we have been working away from home...your friendliness and warmth have not gone amiss...we send you our gratitude for all you have done for us..The Rising Sun is a little gem of a place tucked away in the heart of Bath...the rooms are lovely and are cleaned every day...the food is to die for and the quaint rear courtyard adds a little quirkiness to your visit...lined with flowers ferns and hanging baskets...we have thouroghly enjoyed our long long staycation and wish you all happiness success and prosperity...until we meet again God Bless you all...Malcolm and William x"

"I visited the Traveller’s Rest last night for dinner with my boyfriend and another couple. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and were patient with us when choosing our orders. We all had main courses and desserts and everything that was served was of excellent standard. The strawberry cheesecake was particularly light and delicious. We cannot wait to return to try some of the other options on the menu!"

"We had an excellent experience in this beautiful Pub. It is located in the little plaza in the Abbey Green, steps away from the Roman Baths. The ambience was really cozy and the staff very friendly. We ordered some amazing and tasty tapas that highly recommend."

"I was staying at the Forge accommodation accross the road. It was an excellent place for a meal after long flight from Cyprus. I had the brie for starter. Excellent presentation and very generous tasty portion size. Then I had the fish of the day...in beer batter with french fries, coleslaw, salad and peas. Again the presentation was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. They checked to see was everything ok re my food. Excellent quality and value for money."

"Eating here is really good. we ate here two days on the truppet. the service is great, with many beautiful touches, e.g. an offer of water for the table and a declaration that the lamb pink come. if they are not a fan of pink lamb like me, then they have the opportunity to ask it a bit better. the peas risotto is beautiful, the lamb risotto is exceptional and the rib eye steak very delicate. like puddings, the Eton Fair is dreaming. this place is worth a visit."
