"My local Bourges friend and I had dinner at OH Rest'o last night. I don't remember the name of the entrée item I'd ordered, but it was a sort of large wonton with goat cheese and basil on a frisée salad: fantastic. For the main course I had the poisson du jour atop a very nice tomatoless ratatouille, and my friend had the boeuf tartare. We shared a cafe gourmand - little tastes of five or six desserts including a creme brulee, a pot de creme, a lovely thick, rich chocolate gateau, a lacework cookie, various fruits . . . The owner served us and he was the soul of charm. I highly recommend OHRest'o if you want a delicious meal in Bourges that won't cost you un bras et une jambe."

"We were first into this place (see reasons later) when it opened: and we were glad that we were, because half an hour later it really filled up, (Friday evening), and service became dreadfully slow for an hour or so. The food was OK, and in fairness it is very cheap if you eat from the menus. There is a 15% discount if you show a hotel bill from the B&B or Premiere Classe, and probably for the other hotels, too. The bread ration was miserly, and rubbish quality. Service even when we arrived was not delivered with a smile. The chap at the table next to us waited over an hour for his order of andouillette. He had finished his pint well before the food came. There seemed to be enough staff serving, so we assume the problem was the capacity of the kitchen. The restaurant is at a main road intersection, where there are several hotels. If you want to walk there, as we did, from the B&B (or Premiere Classe), there are 6 road crossings, three of them major, to negotiate. You have to go anticlockwise round the junction, because of the position of the pedestrian crossings. These are zebras, rather than traffic loght controlled; in fairness, drivers were very good about stopping for us, but we didn't fancy the walk in the dark, hence our early dinner."

"Tous les convives petits et grands (14 personnes au total) ont été ravis tant par l'accueil souriant et sympa, l'excellence des mets que l'emplacement. Malgré la forte chaleur, la table sous le gros tilleul est vraiment agréable.Les plats, tous faits maison, sont savoureux et bien présentés avec un prix du menu très raisonnable (25€) avec également une carte de très bons vins à des prix abordables."
