"For a restaurant of allegedly such quality, and for how expensive it is, the service was below average by Mexico 's standards. I was there at the end of June, 2017, we were a group of 10 or more. As I was sipping my expensive red wine, I noticed a little something that went on my tongue, upon further inspection to my horror I discovered it was a live fly that had fallen in the wine and somehow ended up on my tongue. Any person would have been disgusted, but especially someone like me who is a germaphobe....well, I spat out the fly which was still alive on a napkin and proceeded to douse my tongue with purely and rub it, in an attempt to get rid of the germs and gross stuff flies carry. I informed the manager who could not care less, he didn 't even raise an eyebrow, and when the bill was paid, they didn 't;t even give any kind of discount for that unpleasant encounter with the fly. I am definitely not impressed with that restaurant."

"My fiancè and I love this place. We generally order about the same thing every time because its been perfection every time. We usually order a plate of guacamole, sometimes a pan of melted cheese and mushrooms, and then ribeye steaks (medium). We always ask that they put out the pickled red onions with habañero and pico de gallo. We find their toasted lime slushies to be divine as well. The best part about El Bife aside from their yummy food has been that after a few visits, the staff remembers us and what we order, so we come in and they greet us like family and ask if we'll have our usual. I've never had service like that anywhere else (especially in Villahermosa) and its always worth it to us to pay the slight expense for the delicious meal to have such great service."

"The food was tasty and authentic enough for the locals. But the best part was they they offered delivery to El Centro. They got the order wrong and left out the Totopas but all in all worth the reasonable (by American standards) cost."

"Came to this place for after business meal and was really especie for to have a great BBQ since it got good recommendations from locals.The place itself is nicely finished in a Modest way, perhaps not your typical BBQ joint, the restaurant was crowded and for this reason made it very loud and difficult to talk to people in your table.Had the brisket and bit was blend, it lacked the smokiness you might expect and the sauce was just average. The side dishes were good. Just an ok place to visit if you are in town."
