"I kept my wedding here. The place is beautiful and includes many accommodation. The food was delicious. The staff is also friendly. Unfortunately, my wedding didn't go as well as I expected because I got an email 2 days before my big event in which I was told that the wedding coordinator couldn't make it my wedding because she got Covid. These things happen naturally. I was really worried about my big day after this news, but she assured me I was in good hands. Unfortunately, that was not quite the case. The day before my wedding, when my family and I arrived, there was a lot of confusion about which rooms my family would stay, even though they were reserved a bit before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the employees who now coordinate my wedding were very disorganized and not aware that all that was that on the day unfortunately due to lack of communication with the wedding coordinator and because leadership was lacking. My middle pieces never made it to the guest tables, the entrance tables or the wedding couple tables. Two dozen rose petals were bought to be blown over the tables that have not happened and they have never left the fridge. The flowers were one of the most important and expensive aspects of my wedding for me and I stressed this to the coordinator so that I am upset about it is understandable. A refund for all flowers has not been offered, they simply delivered them to my honeymoon area the next day with an apology. I do not leave this informative review to place any negativity on Friends Lake Inn. There were many beautiful weddings here, but unfortunately, mine didn't go as planned. Unfortunately, the young lady who was placed responsible for coordinating the wedding on the wedding day was nowhere to find until about half an hour before the event, so my husband had to run around like a chicken with his head lacking trying to tell people where to go and what to do until the bride was ready. That wasn't my husband's responsibility. I informed Friends Lake Inn about why I was upset about my wedding, and I talked to the owner and he offered me a free night to stay at Friends Lake Inn and asked me to make me happy? It was a very nice offer and I took it because it was again a nice place to stay and very accommodating. Unfortunately, it does not remove the past. I sincerely hope that this will not happen to any other couple, which is another reason why I decided to publish this review. The owner asked me to leave a good review after he offered me a free night stay at the Inn and I believe that a true review is exactly that. Remember, we're still in the middle of a pandemic. If you plan a wedding, you are always very careful at the venue(s) you choose, especially during the pandemic."

"My husband and I decided to stop here on the way through the city. We weren't sure what a place that was, but when it was lunch, we tried. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, service was friendly and the food was good! I had the oyster po' boy and my husband had the Caesar salad with crabs. The salad came completely covered with crabs. My sandwich was good too, but I only ate 1/2. We will definitely go back!"

"I would give the Blue Bird 6 stars if I could only for the longevity and consistency of the crabcake recipe! Everyone is welcome and everyone comes with us. If you do not come for the cheap food try to play pool in the dining room. The Hamburger is the favorite of my husband, whom he said, it reminds him of the burgers he ate as a child and it is cheap! That's the real Chestertown I remember and it didn't change."

"When we 're in Schroon Lake this is a restaurant that we like to visit. The Place is consistently has very good food service. We visited here Fri 7/01/22 5:30pm. Many Italian choices steak are on the menu. You can have La Parmigiana eight different ways $14-21). And there are always clams, mussels, shrimp dishes available. We like to sit at the bar side. The bartender is always friendly and has a running, entertaining commentary with the regulars. We ordered our drinks while looked over the menu. My bride had the chicken parmigiana w/o pasta and extra broccoli $22). I had the mussels marinara fra diavolo w/ linguine $16). All meals are served w/ warm Italian bread made in-house. Not a broad menu but something for everyone and is consistently hot tasty. Total for 5 drinks two dinners w/tax $85.60. Hours: Closed Sun, Tue, Wed. Open Thu, Fri, Sat, Mon 4:30-9pm We like the food , service, atmosphere here and will see you again soon. Thank you. Nick Liz, Albany, NY"
