"The service was good and quite fast. This was the first time I visited the restaurant as it closed like many others in the area for viruses. Before graduation I found the Steak Quality higher than current. Everything is still the best choice in Chetumal Mexico for Streak with a good variety. They also give you excellent homemade bread and a salad. I recommend everyone. It's a little hard to find, it seems to be a house if you don't look nearby.... all cooking is done outside on and in an oven."

"The food was horrible as well as the service. Usually don’t write bad reviews but i had to for this place. I ordered the coconut shimp. The shimps were still frozen inside when they served me. So so bad. Was going to complain but the waiter was so high! So I decided not to argue. The other waiters who are sitting inside and playing with their phones realizied that I didn’t even touch it but they didn’t do anything about it and just smiled at me. My husband has bacon rolled shimp. It was decent but again the bacons were not cooked properly. Don’t go to this place!"

"We (husband and wife couple had at El Emporio the best meal in Chetumal we've ever had. The grilled bread was the first indication of a fine meal to follow. The carpaccio de pulpo was artfully presented and even more tender and delicious. We shared a bottle of good tempernillo along with the steak (pequena?? , fresh grilled asparagus and tasty puréed papas. The atmosphere was warmly lit and quite romantic. The best meal we've had in Chetumal for our frequent visits."
