"I wanted to like the Hilton Head Diner. What is better than a true diner experience? The atmosphere was reasonably true to the genre, with a nice counter and decent booth seating. The menu was extensive and seemed reasonably priced. The service was also very good, with a coffee served quickly. Good expectations. Unfortunately the food let the place down. I had the country fried steak and eggs for breakfast. The ‘steak’ seemed to be a breaded patty of some indeterminate ‘meat’ that was taken out of the freezer shortly before cooking. The sausage gravy was goopy. The eggs and hash browns were fine. The rye toast was good. These last items took the food rating from a two to a three, but if scrambled eggs and toast is redeeming your food, well…… If I go back, I’ll try something else."

"Last week we decided to use our gift certificate to Perrones. We had been there before about a year ago and it was good and seemed like a nice place. We made our reservations for 3 because my sister-in-law a]was in town. My first impression was that the dinner menu was very minimal. There were about 6 pages or more of alcoholic drink selections and only 3 pages of appetizer,salad dinner and sidesEven though they had all those drinks I couldn’t get a glass of white Zinfandel. I chose the 8 Oz filet as I have shell fish allergies and the selection of dinners was about 10. Med. Rare ended up being black and blue.I ate it . For 3 people bill was $260 not including tip"

"I was twice. Both were at dinner. The first time I had the pot roast and it was amazing! The second time I had Steak and it was great! Mac and cheese is so good!! My daughter is picky about Mac and cheese. She tried and loved it! The pages are a large part, so you're worth your money!"
