"What a gem! This place is a dive bar, which I find those are really best! Good comfort food in casual atmosphere. Happy hour is 6 a.m. to 12a.m. so basically all day. Unbelieveable prices! Like spaghetti dinner is $2.99. When I first saw that I thought that must be an old sign. Actually the sign that says Captain Kenos is missing but you can find it on Google.Really good portions on food. 3 pork chops come with the pork chop dinner. They also have ribs, not sure what day and I think I saw prime rib on the week end. Also great for kiddies they have a pac man machine and the one with the crane where you can win stuffed animals. Even if you lose the bartender will still give you a prize! Super friendly staff. They dont have a waitress but the lady who takes the food orders will bring your food to you. Yes, the place is dated, maybe 1950? But its very clean and well kept up. I really liked it here. Its soo comfortable. I dont know who Captain Keno is but theres a picture of a fireman captain on the wall. Im guessing thats him. This place is totally awesome and the prices are great for Del Mar. Restrooms were spotless. I really cant say enough great things about this place. I liked it soo much I went 2 days in a row! The only con is its a bit of a drive from San Diego and traffic doesnt help but its a lovely place to stop for dinner and drinks after you leave the beach"

"Located at perfect ocean front location in Cardiff. Parking is so hard unless you're up for a walk down the highway but they have valet for $7 which is so convenient. We requested for ocean view window seating and was seated there as requested without a problem. Started with cucumber jalapeño margarita and skinning. I liked the cucumber jalapeño more since I like a kick but next time I'd probably skip the agave as it was too sweet for my taste. They have a great gluten free and vegetarian menu which is one of the reasons i chose this restaurant as my husband is gluten sensitive. We got Cardiff roll which was excellent. Tuna and crab were both so fresh and we loved the raw jalapeño on top but it might not be for everyone. I'd love to try their sunset roll next time as it looked delicious with coconut shrimp inside. We shared the short rib entree and I'm so glad we shared and it was massive. I thought they had mistakenly put in an order for two but they had kindly split into two plates for us. The ribs were good. Brussels sprouts just okay a little under seasoned and potato gratin was mediocre. We had coconut cheese cake to share. Hubby loved it I thought it was okay but it might be because I'm a chocolate person. I'd go back to try other dishes"

"The location and breezy feel brought us in for brunch. The staff and natural light give PPH good vibes which goes well with the faint reggae tunes. The tables and menus are sticky, and the kids commented on it. The menu is short, which I like, however it lacks imagination. I wanted a brunch cocktail, but nothing called to me. The kids menu is status quo so the kids ordered from the sides menu. My pulled pork sandwich was smokey and spicy- very good. The warm syrup for the kids pancakes got everywhere, explaining the sticky tables. This place could totally have it going on with some more exciting drink and menu options, and maybe some eco friendly degreaser."

"Great cocktails and food overall! Mussels super fresh and delicious. Crab cakes were full of crab. Just skip the prime rib though. Not prime at all. We ordered medium and they threw it in the grill like a steak and the meat was tough to chew."

"I love the veggie bowl, the vinaigrette makes this very delicious, grove salad beautiful, vegan / gf pizza super, fries in avocado oil quite nice for a cheating day also with salad, the most tasteful option in Encinitas. Kombucha on Tap and Matcha options too! Love this place!"
