"My wife dined at the Fish Joynt to commemorate our 10 year anniversary. The name or this restaurant gives the impression of a Key West style fried fish and salad place which I love so much. But what we experienced was a delightful evening of superb service and fabulous entrees and appetizers. We chose the Risotto dish with shrimp and scallops and the Fish Joynt Combo which includes a broiled lobster tail, shrimp and their infamous pistachio crusted sea bass which was like butter. Accompanying the meal were potato pancakes, apple sauce and a wonderful creamed spinach. My wife and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who would love to experience great seafood in an atmosphere that feels like home and tastes absolutely divine."

"This is the lunch spot for the corporate heads in the Downtown Miami. Occasionally you'll see a couple people in scrubs coming to eat here. The food is good....the salads are SO BIG and you can choose to have it with chicken or STEAK. WOW!! They have little goodies like cookies to pig out on too. The rice bowls are the most popular and for good reason. You can choose yellow or white rice with you choice of meats. All the salads come with a nice roll but stinks when they run out cause they'll just hand you one of their bagels from the breakfast bar. Still probably the nicest Downtown lunch spot."

"I have mixed feelings about this place...It's very nicely decorated, but it was empty when I went...Perhaps because I went at a weird time (early afternoon). However, I find that the food was expensive for their location...They're located in a medium-income neighborhood but their most affordable plates are in the $20's....Plus, I have visited other Nicaraguan steakhouses and have enjoyed their food more...I just don't know if I'll return...I guess it's one of those restaurants you either love or hate...Go try it for yourself (perhaps at dinner time) and draw your own conclusions..."

"Recently relocated from Newark, NJ, I had been craving traditional Portuguese cuisine. An online search led me to Coimbra. The food was excellent and the wait staff and chef were very courteous. Prices were reasonable for Miami. We tried the codfish fritters, a traditional steak and egg, and the codfish with potatoes which was heaven. They have an all you can eat buffet on Friday’s which would be good for people to sample Portuguese cuisine if they have never had it before. Kudos to chef Santos!"

"It must have been a bad night for outside table #73. Last night Sat 11/18/06, 5 hungry guests ate cold ribs and tough steak. I have read other reviews and they were all good. However on this night it was not our waiter seemed to be a.w.o.l when we did try to summon him, he put his hand up like a stop sign and said wait if I was not so hungry. I would have left the place. Also only 4 out of 5 people, only my mother was the hold out she won’t be coming back."

"Oh my goodnes this place is my 1 favorite from now on! Everthing fresh and delicious .. the baguette with scrambled eggwhites , Brie cheese, spinach and tomatoes was very yummy and well prepared .. the herbs French fries wow so good! The iced latte was extremely good, it didntneed any sugar was so good .. Not bitterness. Tomato soup oh wow! And so was the almond croissant. Also the sauces they give you on the side was top notch deliciousness and the portion were big to satisfy your morning hunger. Highly recommend it, you cant go wrong with this place."
