"We held a private baby shower party at the Remixx Bar grill this past weekend. Tasha, who is a friend of mine and owner along with her partner, Mariah. It was my first time visiting this beautiful bar located on 434 Piikoi street. It is not hard to find and there were lots of parking available in the back and also on the streets are metered parking. We catered food from their menu. The food was Ono, the staff were great and super friendly. Music was available through touch tunes so it was nice to be able to select our songs. Lots of space to practice social distancing. Love the photo op backdrop. We had a really great time and didn't want to leave but there was another private party after us. Definitely will be back!! Great place to unwind with good company and beautiful venue to host private events. Thanks Tasha!"

"Makes me feel sick every time i eat it. So heavy greasy and processed for vegan food, also this place of business discriminates against people who are not local although they portray to be inclusive, they are not. Also just way too expensive."

"I had an appointment in Kalihi and had some time to kill. It was one of those hectic days and hadn 't eaten lunch. It was 7pm.It 's officially dinner time.I pulled into the parkin lot just past the Jack in the Box by Umi street. There used to be an Elena 's there. There must be somewhere I can get a takeout....My hunch was right.There was a Chinese restaurant on the right and Subway on the left. Subway was closed, and I didn 't want to get ala carte, so I went to BBQ Mix, which was right in the middle.It 's only 7:15 but it 's really quiet in there.I walk up to the counter where I was greeted by a cheerful young lady. I decided to try the hamburger steak.I seated myself on the chair after ordering and I was glad I wasn 't earning in...The chairs they had were wrought iron and hardwood and let me tell you, if you had told me that it was a medieval torchering device, I would have believed!This was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture my butt ever laid on!I was glad my order came up relatively quickly, as I was up and out the door. Thank you, have a nice day! she says, so I replied with a You too! I like that kind of employee-customer interaction. While waiting for my appointment, I pick on the plate. There 's 2 scoops of rice, mac salad and 3 hamburger patties with brown gravy.The patties look handmade, not store bought.More points there.They are well seasoned and tasty.Very moist and tender.Macaroni for the salad wasn 't overcooked, nor was it al dente, but pleasantly done. Slivers of carrots not only add color but give a bit of texture to the mac salad.The one thing that I thought might have been a mismatch was the jasmine rice.Jasmine rice does so well with ethnic dishes, but for me, it interfered with the subtle flavor of the brown gravy.Otherwise, it 's a flawless plate lunch, but that 's just my opinion. Later on though, I started to get that reaction...I don 't know if it was in the patties or the gravy, but there probably were traces of MSG.I normally would 've minused a star, but the value of the meal and the bubbly personality of the girl at the counter certainly is worth the high mark."

"Poi Bowl is a walk up order and go food court eatery at Ala Moana Makai Food Court. I was browsing the eateries in the food court and saw Poi Bowl's daily special menu had cabbage roll as one of their specials. So I decided to order it since I love my mom;s cabbage rolls and I haven't had cabbage rolls in a very long time. The lady serving me was prompt and scooped more tomato sauce on the cabbage rolls so the overflow sauce can be mixed with rice. Very good service.Stuffed Cabbage Roll 3.5/5The cabbage roll was okay. The tomato sauce ok, but was more salty than I prefer. The filling was ground beef. It was not as moist as it should be, it was more on the dry side. That said, the ground beef stuffing was ok if you mix it with the tomato sauce. The cabbage was cooked good. The cabbage was soft, nor hard. If it wasn't for the saltiness and the unseasoned ground beef, I would have gave a better rating.Poi Bowl specializes serving Hawaiian dishes. Cabbage rolls was an odd item on their daily special menu, but I am glad I ordered it."

"Best Mexican food on Oahu!! I typically only review a place based off its food. But I can't help but share how kind and friendly the owners are! Excellent service and EVEN better food. I gotta say, it's been tough finding good Mexican food on Oahu. If you are in need of tasty tacos or big delicious burritos, this should be your new go to spot! I am so thankful to have found this taqueria!!"
