"Inside is about 12 tables and a full size bar. The bathrooms were clean. Our server was attentive and sweet. This place offers sweetened and unsweetened brewed tea. The Caesar salad dressing had a strong eggy taste. The croutons were deliciously sweet! Lol. The red fish has been a consistently well savored dish. It has now been ordered four times. The filet surprised me! It does cost around forty for the filet and one side, however, a melt in your mouth flavored filled fantastic filet is hard to come by (say that fast three times? in a mirror? with the lights off)."

"Some of the best roasted chickens I've ever had. I was a little skeptical when I noticed that this could be some cheap fried food and BBQ. I was totally wrong. The chicken is perfectly cooked and is incredibly juicy. The dissolution of the dough is also exactly what you want. It's not so puffy that it's all batter and not chicken, but also tastefully with the perfect amount of crunch. You can't beat what you get at the price. Nothing will break the bank. I'll come back to try the BBQ."

"We've celebrated our Anniversary every year at the Purple Parrot and by far it's the most romantic and quiet place in the Burg. Love it and they always fulfill my special requests They had a glass of my wife's wine and my Sazerac waiting on me with a little table banner with our names and happy anniversary with a rose and after our meal had a desert for us with Happy Anniversary written in icing around the plate......We'll always go there for Valentines day and/or our Anniversary...Thanks so very much and Highly Highly recommend!! -Chris"

"I had a prime rib sandwich. Unfortunately, the meat tasted stale you know when you leave a roast in the refrigerator a couple of days longer than you know you should have. It was also warmed over too long.Waitress was great and attentive!"

"Today was the first time I have ever visited Newks.it is conveniently located, competitively priced, and very clean. Before entering the establishment the smell of the grilled chicken and the veggies sizzling reached out and put my nose in a full Nelson and lured me inside. Once inside the euphonius music overhead was at the perfect volume. It wasn't too loud as to drown out my company and it wasn't quite enough to make the lunch talk pauses awkward. We all got to the counter and ordered the food from a menu that was strategically placed, out of the way, to where you don't have people standing in from and you having to get a crook in your neck from trying to read it. The lady up front took our order and we paid. By the time we got our drinks and sat down Kaylee was out with our food. She realized the one sandwich was wrong and offered to take it back. The person in our company decided he would eat it. And he LOVED it. That was a good mistake. He may have never ordered it, but thanks to the mess up he did. Regardless Kaylee came back just to make sure that he was ok with it. She would have taken it back. It was very gracious of her since they were packed. That's what I call customer service. Always looking out for the customer. My food was amazing. I have never had a pasta salad with so many different vegetables in it! I look forward to the next time I return. Overall I would recommend. "Used to be a great place, even if a bit more pricier than most other fast food sites. They offer menu items that you can find at McDonald (fried pimples, sweet potatoes, etc. . The last few times I left have left much to wish. Portions are becoming smaller and prices are increasing. I guess shrinkage is here. The food tastes old, stale and burned. The drinks are filled with ice to the edge, so you don't really get much. The prices on the Drive-Thru menu are not accurate! I asked in the window and the prices are about .50 more than shown."
