"I was a bit disappointed today. In turn, as a first walk I had a lobster ceremé Excellent so far I knew it in the Rickmers gallery, I was surprised every time very positively. As the main course, I chose the recommendation “Steinbuttfilet” with vegetables, crushed butter and bog potatoes. Unfortunately, it wasn't a stone butter fillet, but stone butter pieces with middle bones. The vegetables were not bite-resistant but hard. not as I think it should be. The fish was fried I had expected cooked fish ok I could have asked. But the fish was not juicy as he should be but dry. As dessert I ordered “Cremé bruleé also excellently paid for soup : € 8.00 price is ok For fish : € 32,00 too expensive for dessert : € 9.00. is also ok. Except for the main course, everything was as I knew from various visits to the Rickmers. Since also Steinbuttfilet was ordered to my side table, I did not want to complain on site. I am a cook myself and worked in the top gastronomy for many years. So also with fresh stone butter, whether as a fillet or pieces of one of the most expensive fish we have in the North Sea. Of course I'll go back to see how it's next time."

"Seit vielen Jahren besuche ich Helgoland. Und bei jedem Besuch steht auch je nach Dauer meines Aufenthaltes (mindestens!) ein leckeres Abendessen in den Mocca Stuben auf dem Programm. Empfohlen wird das im Oberland gelegene Restaurant von den Einheimischen, die dort auch ihre Familienfeste feiern - für mich ein klares Indiz für gute Küche zu einem fairen Preis. Ob Fischgerichte oder Fleisch auf dem Teller, ob mittags oder abends - ich bin hier noch NIE enttäuscht worden. Für mich sind die Mocca Stuben die perfeke Symbiose aus hervorragender Inselküche, ansprechendem Ambiente und prima Service - ein Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen, bei dem alles stimmig ist."

"I´m a fish lover. I tried several restaurants in Hergoland and here i found in my opinion the best fish with a big portion that is always welcome. The atmosphere is nice, the service also and at least to dinner, is important to book (the same at the other restaurants of the Island). Hergoland is a small island and for people that don't book, there is a risk of not finding a place to sit and dinner. And most of the places to eat close early so i would say the best time to book a table is betten 18h and 19.30h, to have also time to enjoy the meal."

"Zum Sylvesterurlaub auf Helgoland hatten meine Frau und ich einen Tisch im "Störtebeker" reserviert. Das Restaurant ist von außen eher einfach, innen aber auf eine urige Art gemütlich. An Sylvesterabend gab es eine kleine Karte. Die Bedienung war sehr herzlich, das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich. Wir haben und wohl gefühlt, was man auch daran sehen kann, dass wir am nächsten Abend wieder im "Störtebeker" waren."
