"Went there and they were closed door was locked nobody acknowledged us but they were supposed to be open. A bunch of Chinese (perhaps their family members? eating and sounded like grumbling on the table could hear it from the outside. There was still a lot of empty tables to be open as they should have been. The old lady working in the kitchen seems to have a very short and vocal temper. This time it wasn't my choice to eat there. I was invited to eat out. Given a choice, I wouldn't eat there. There are other better places choose from like few doors down at Happy Valley."

"Although this is usually called a dive, it had a fun and friendly atmosphere as well as high-quality eating. clams were well made, drinks were strong and cheap, $5.50 for a vodka soda. the waiter was super friendly and brought the children fish food to throw out into the koi. good people watching and looking at the dikes. we all had a great time and highly recommended when they are in hilo to check it."

"Delicious local food to cheap trips in comparison to other places on the island. my picture is halfway away by destroying my super loco moco. soou tasty! masks are required to order at the window for the exit and they cannot sit outside in the restaurant, but if they pass by the building in the back, there is a parking area next to a pond (connected with the sea) with a picnic table. we ate and it was very nice."

"For 30 years in Hilo. Fair prices and good food. Go to a local Hawaiian restaurant. They serve a big burger for about 5 or 6 dollars. Food and lunch all day. Breakfast and dinner"

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Kiki was our server and did a great job. The gal who seated us was also really welcoming. The wings are BOMB! Definitely recommend trying them. I had the Swiss mushroom burger as well and it was good, only complaint is I had ordered my patty medium rare but it came more on the well done side. No pink at all. Both my husband and I got a lava flow and they either had very little alcohol or none at all, but were tasty strawberry smoothies if nothing else. I ordered a second drink, a peach amigo, it was perfect and strong. Overall I?d return again."

"Staying at the SCP Hotel and didn’t want to drive anywhere so we had dinner here. No wait, but it appeared that there was one hostess which she seated us and waited on us. While waiting for our food, was got a small plate of complimentary spinach artichoke dip delicious. We ordered the Kalbi plate and the hibachi chicken plate. The brown rice was hard, the potato salad was yummy with a mix of regular and sweet potato. Both main entrees were delicious, but…they were very sweet! Like they were marinated for a long time. Service was good!"
