"I've been to this restaurant a handful of times. Normally the food is great. I cant have anything smoked so I ordered the ribs and wings regular instead. Come to find out the sauce I asked for was a smoke sauce and nobody told me...until after. Stuff like this happens. It's the way we were treated after letting them know we were tasting smoke that bothers me. I was basically told too bad, this is the way it is."

"When you have a choice of one nearby restaurant, sometimes it's not so good, but this is really good. Had the pickerel and it was quite tasty. Very good breakfast a excellent service, lots of choices."

"23. February Kenora has a special place in my heart. Since the year I was born, Lake of the Woods has been our mandatory holiday destination for our family with the use of a generous family cabin 20 minutes from the heart of Kenora. I must admit, the only culinary experience I have ever enjoyed in the city is "Ye Old Chip Truck". The perfectly boiled frits drowned in malt vinegar and salt were always a highlight of the summer. Last week we were honoured to participate in Kenora’s culinary event – “Winter Bites”. Nine local restaurants took part that offer lunch and/or dinner menu items for the month of February for a certain price of $10 (midday) or $25 (dinner). Our first station was Nourish Cafe, Shop and Yoga Studio. The atmosphere was juicy and the food – fresh. We chose the Cranberry Pecan chicken salad sandwich on dark Russian rye bread. It reminded us of the summer contract that we could eat on the beach and the flavors were perfectly complicated. The yoga studio on the upper floor seemed to be well used when we experienced that the males enter and leave their classes while we enjoyed our meal in sunshine. Our second morning in the city we decided to have our breakfast at our hotel – Lakeside Inn Conference Centre. Our stay at the Inn was an absolute pleasure. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the lake view from our room was spectacular, especially during sunset. We both ordered the breakfast sandwich, as we knew we had a lot to eat the day and didn't want to stop prematurely. The use of a cookie instead of a bungalow or an English muffin took the sandwich a cut over the rest. It was simple and tasty – the perfect choice. Next was Uptown Restaurant. This place is an old favorite that was recently reopened. These were probably the most picturesque meals we enjoyed on our trip, but the flavors were also not disappointed. The Perogies were creamy and perfectly balanced with a crispy bacon garnish. The pancake plate was lined with scratches"
