"Ate here as the only restaurant out of 3 in the village that was open on a Tues evening. Booked when walking past it at lunchtime. Friendly lady explained the menu. The entrecote was tasty but very large 300gms and I should have chosen the smaller one with a pepper sauce. The cod in a provencal sauce was very good. Lovely dessert of fresh figs baked in red wine and a chocolate fondant. Think the restaurant has a connection with the hotel Le Pave D'Hote which we were staying in."

"We were going to eat at Le Pave d’Auge but found it closed for holidays. Stumbled upon Cafe Forges today for lunch and the manager owner couldn’t have been more accommodating, food was good, nice wine and great service. 50% of food cooked in...front of you on open chimney. Quite busy for time of year and mainly locals. Highly recommended."
