"Went in on a Saturday evening for a meal. The food and service was lovely and it's a lovely pub. Unfortunately there were quite a few kids in running in and out of the pub and into the toilets whilst their parents were stood at the bar not taking any notice of them. We left early in the end."

"Lovely little local pub, in a quiet little village in Saddleworth. Definitely worth a visit if you want a calm atmosphere, great beer and amazing food. Also dog friendly which is a bonus. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5"

"Excellent staff, they were very friendly and helpful. It was a very calm and relaxing atmosphere and the environment was perfect to be around with my family.The steak was cooked to perfection and the mocktails were very refreshing. Overall all the food we ordered was spot on and I would definitely go again and recommend to others."

"Used to come to this venue and always found it to be nice, superior to the other venues in Lees. So much so previously booked the venue for a private function. Persuaded my family to go to Milan Bar for Sunday lunch. Sat down, table was half set. Noticed the table didn't look clean so wiped it with baby wipes...it was filthy. I appreciate things get missed but this was gross. Menu was as expected for the price. The starter the prawns were okay. The main was delicious...best roast I have had in a while. The dessert was again average, but to be honest given the price I wouldn't have any gripe about the food. Drinks were a little bizarrely priced...£3.50 for a pint of cordial and soda! However I can only assume it has fallen victim to the COVID curse. The table was filthy, the window behind us was the same could barely see through it. On the floor next to our table there was a sludge across the floor. It was a warm day and the side room was stuffy and unpleasant with flies buzzing around. There was an air con unit on the wall but it wasn't turned on. The service was average, all ordering through a QR code or drinks at the bar. First two courses came okay but third appeared to have been forgotten. I'll be honest I would have walked out without the dessert but given we had already paid we asked and it then turned up. Real shame as the main course was brilliant, let down by the environment. Appreciate for the price of the menu that the food was as expected but don't expect the environment. Won't return, will go to The Bank and happily pay a lot more money."

"Ordered large portions of fried huhn, curried huhn, jerk huhn and pfeffer steak with rice and ps. eating was absolutely amazing-5 stars. we have never tasted ache and salt fish so the manager recommended that we try it with steamed veg. we ordered a small part. but he gave us a great part for the price of a small part! the whole family really enjoyed everything we ordered. our oldest son has additional needs with bad communication skills and he has been made feel very welcome. the manager was very helpful, cheerful and friendly. that eating is absolutely amazing and we would definitely recommend to everyone, it is too ty. portions are very generous. either eat, take or leave it delivered after 18 o'clock. food hygiene assessment 5"
