"Quick and efficient service. The waitress is smiling, it’s very pleasant. They mainly serve burgers but I took the Caesar salad that is delicious and sufficiently garnished. In the heart of Pessac, this small restaurant offers a wooden terrace in the back to authentic decoration. I recommend!"

"To change a little we went to hippopotamus at pessac and I admit to being as conquered, despite the change of the map. We have had a very good time and the team is here to answer any request. "We booked as a recommendation from the lady who rented us accommodation. It is a small corner restaurant which is not easy to get to if you do not have a car but well worth the effort of getting a taxi. The menu has a good range of creative options beautifully presented, a good balance of options for everyone. Four of us felt very at home with its easy atmosphere, we choose some good wines and the bill was still affordable in french bordeaux standards"

"Nous avons été mangé en famille dans ce restaurant un dimanche midi. Nous avions réservé une table pour 6, en arrivant on nous indique une table en terrasse. Nous précisons que nous préférons manger dedans, nous nous prenons une petite réflexion du serveur et on nous fait comprendre que ça les saoule, clairement. Premier mauvais point. De plus, à l'intérieur, on nous place sur une table en plein courant d'air, ce qui n'est pas très malin ...Les prix sont vraiment très élevés, le rapport qualité prix n'y est pas (quantité de légumes/accompagnement vraiment ridicule). Les plats étaient relativement bons, l'attente interminable. GROS point négatif pour moi, étant végétarienne: aucun plat à la carte que je peux manger, pas grave je vois plusieurs accompagnements de viande et poisson qui peuvent faire l'affaire. La serveuse me dit qu'en effet ils ne proposent pas de plat pour les végétariens, que c'est même une erreur de leur part (elle l'avoue clairement devant nous). Elle me dit alors qu'on peut me faire une assiette de légumes avec quelques frites, me demande si je mange du fromage et des oeufs (c'est le cas). Elle revient de cuisine en me disant qu'ils vont me faire un truc sympa avec ça.45 minutes plus tard, mon assiette arrive, et c'est le drame : 3 feuilles de mâche , des tonnes de frites, 3 tranches épaisses de fromage de brebis sur le bord de l'assiette et pas un légume. C'est une honte quand on voit les garnitures sympas des autres assiettes : chou romanesco, petit pois, purée de chou fleur, brunoise de légumes etc ils ont de quoi faire une belle assiette de légumes!!! Je le signale à la serveuse qui me dit qu'on peut m'amener un bol de légumes, je l'accepte n'ayant du coup rien mangé encore !Voilà voilà je n'avais encore jamais vécu une situation pareil au restaurant.. surtout quand je vois les possibilités qu'ils avaient !! Au final 12€ pour une assiette comme ça ça fait mal..Pour les desserts par contre vraiment très bon, quantité suffisante sauf pour les choux garnis (8€ les 3 mini choux ils se foutent de nous).En bref passez votre chemin, les plats viande/poisson sont bons mais trop cher pour la quantité, l'équipe n'est pas très accueillante et aucune volonté de s'adapter!!"

"After an over priced, over rated meal on night one, we decided to try this restaurant on night two. What a refreshing change. It was so busy with local families and couples and the atmosphere was incredible. The food was fresh, hot and simply delicious...(moules al papillote with salmon for me and fish and chips for hubby). The services was quick and attentive and I would recommend and return here."
